Truffle notes also appear, and there are intense red fruit flavours throughout the long palate, which is lively and vital. Delicious wine, the maturing of bottle-age has reaped rewards. "95 pts. It’s pure silk. It tastes of plum, mint and peppercorn but it’s the creaminess of the oak, and the velvet of the fruit, that distinguishes it. That and the integration of said flavours with the wide sheet of tannin, and the eventual spread of flavour through the long finish.
