Maybe we should introduce that for all product, I am sure the mod would love the extra check.

    Not worth your time.
I could say more, but instead I'll just show parts of the top rated review from someone who has played 4 hours of the game.

~ This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. ~
~ The developers abandoned this 5 years ago. It will never be completed. ~
~ Alien Grounds is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". ~

    • There seems to be recent and regular updates, but I can't tell if these are genuine updates or whether they're just superficial (eg changing store info, replacing store screenshots with similar screenshots).

Alien Grounds is one of literally thousands of creatively bankrupt asset flips infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere.
This is just a bunch of Unreal assets dumped on a first person shooter blueprint, no content, no nothing, just wave survival shooting the same robot assets over and over again. It's unclear how they intended to monetize this but the developer referred to this as a "service", but it doesn't look like they knew enough to actually put together a live service game.

Was going to copy/paste this same review. I thought he made some very valid points…. here's the rest of it. Not worth the download it seems.

While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Alien Grounds", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers.

The developers abandoned this 5 years ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games.

The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell… and it comes across as insincere.

There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too.

This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.

Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players… this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away.

Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it?

Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough."
