    Grabbed two thanks Velau

Bought one from last deal. Good quality and made from UV resistant recycled plastic that can handle Australian sun.

    • Good to hear, had it on price watch since last saw it come up.

      • How do you do a price watch? It would be handy to know.

        • +4

          ChangeDetection which I host myself

          • @Velau: Thanks!

A quick search found changedetection.io/ for $8.99 per month.

Is this what you use as a YouTube video shows how to host it themselves and use changedetection.io ? Or is it free to host yourself in a different way? If you can provide a link to a good place to get started with this, it would change my world!

            • +1

              @d123: That's the one :)

I use Docker to host it (on a server via Proxmox), but that can be a bit technical depending on experience.

Otherwise they seem to have instructions on running for Windows - https://github.com/dgtlmoon/changedetection.io?tab=readme-ov…
It's open-source, they just monetise by offering one-click setup/hosting - DIY is free.

      It was waterproof?

      • +1

yes, I bought it years ago has some camping chairs in it. The chairs are still OK to use.

      • Yes, it's the reason I keep my gardening equipment and BBQ briquettes in it.

        • Great, can store my leave blower

Factories in Illegal settlements? No thanks.

I did not know that, but it was easy to confirm. BDS.

        Which one is cheaper?

      • +5

child labour? ive been to china few times with a friend, never seen a child in a factory

        • -1

Apple was(could still be) notorious for ignoring their partner Foxconn using children in the iPhone manufacturing

        • How many factories did you visit?

    • +17

thank you for bringing it to our attention. Origin: Made in Israel.

      no deal.

    • -1

False claim. Keter has not operated factories in the West Bank since 2014.

      • +4

do you forget the whole land was palestinian land?

        • +6

          *Canaanite land

If we're going to play this game…

          • -2

@Captain Yobbo: palestinian land if you check 1800 or 1947, it was always palestinian land, they are the semites, what do you call the american land if your going to go back to pre-AD years

            • -6

              @johnfuller:

              they are the semites

You realise that word comes from "Shem", son of Noah, from whom the Israelites trace their lineage yes? And "semitic" refers to a group of languages common to the Levant including Hebrew & Aramaic (of which the Israelites used both). Therefore it's quite impossible that the modern Palestinians, whose heritage is somewhat of a mongrel mix of Aegean, Canaanite, Arab & other invading parties, can claim to be the exclusive definition of the term…

              it was

Well at least you got the tense correct.

what do you call the american land

North America. Modern USA & Canada were inhabited by nomadic hunter-gatherer tribes that did not establish settlements or societies.

          • +4

@baptist1611: "took possession of the land"? Like the British in Australia, India, Africa, North America, etc.? Like the Spanish in South America? Like the Germans in Austria, Poland, etc? Like the Russians in Ukraine? Just asking questions.

          • +6

@baptist1611: Wow! You’ve packed historical illiteracy, racist bile, and self righteous stupidity into one post. Yes, Jews have ancient ties to the land nobody with a functioning brain denies that, but your cartoonish leap from ancient presence to modern absolute entitlement is not an argument, it’s propaganda for people who don’t know history and don’t care to learn it.
Herod’s Temple walls are not a magic deed. Archaeology is not sovereignty. A pile of ancient stones does not erase centuries of conquest, displacement, empire, migration, and the modern reality of two peoples with claims to the same land. If you understood history beyond slogans, you’d know that.

If you’ve got actual historical sources that support 3,500 years of continuous, exclusive control, feel free to share them, historians would be very interested.

And then there’s your garbage about “mohammedan savages,” which is just naked racism for people too cowardly to make a real case. You’re not defending anything are you? you’re vomiting prejudice and pretending it’s scholarship. Anyone reading this can see exactly what you are: an ignorant racist with a superiority complex and the historical understanding of a house brick.
Calling anyone else a “useful idiot” is especially funny when your own post reads like it was written by someone who learned history from a bar fight and morality from a sewer.

            • @Timetraveler:

              Archaeology is not sovereignty

That's a very interesting point, that would explode some heads if you tried to use that logic on Australia's history…

    • Do you also avoid Google and other techs? Or do you only apply your high moral values for storage boxes?

      • +2

yes we try where we can

    • So these are made by Hamas?

  • -1

    Made in Isrehell, no thanks!

  • thanks ordered 3

  • +3

Thanks, ordered 10 to store my 50 jerry cans.

  • Ordered 3 thanks

  • Onepass eligible or nah?

    • +1

      Nope :(

    • Get points but no free delivery. $25 to my address, so Im picking it up. Probably not saving much with the current price of diesel

  • Being weatherproof, would these keep insects from getting in?

    • +1

Nope- found a cockroach in mine just yesterday.

      • Gosh how does it get in as it’s sealed tight too

        • Maybe when they are tiny

    • +2

No I had a wasp making a nest in mine. There is a hole at the top middle, maybe for a lock, where it gets in.

      • Can it be tapped up?

        • Yes sure can only a small entry point.

    • It's weatherproof but not water proof or insect proof. Had spiders in mine. Great product otherwise

  • +10

If I strap 20 together and sail through the strait of Hormuz will I be attacked?

They'll let you pass if you scream Chinese owner.

  • +1

"can comfortably seats two adults", for a moment I thought I read "can comfortably store two adults" :))

    • +5

It definitely can if you’re not fussed about keeping the legs attached. It’s not smell proof though, only good for temporary storage.

      • good review! Will get a couple just in case …

  • +2

Thanks for sharing, I’ve been looking for something like this

  • +2

    Is there a temu version

    • Should be considering this is probably made in china

  • +1

    What's the regular price?

    • Usually $97 but does come on special relatively often

  • Can I put lawnmower in this box? Will it fit?

    • Internal dimensions: 114.4 x 40 x 51.2 cm (L x W x H)

  • Does this thing sit on the ground, or are there legs or risers that hold it up?

Reason being, it doesn't say how much weight the box itself can handle, only says the max weight to be put on top of the lid/cover.

I want to put roof tiles, and bricks inside. Will it handle that weight?

    • +3

The assembly instructions specify max. 30kg internally so it probably doesn't have sufficient capacity for storing bricks and tiles unfortunately

    • +1

      it sits on the ground

  • +4

Made in Israel: Boycott Divest Sanction

  • How can it be ventilated and keep things dry?

  • +4

Not durable. There are better options.

    • +3

Can you suggest some that you prefer?

      • +6

These are very flimsy. IKEA is much better.

If you don't mind the weight you may also consider wooden ones.

        • Which IKEA one?

  • +2

Bought one last weekend and returned it due to damaged piece!

  • I ordered something similar from Amazon earlier this year and it GOT LOST IN TRANSIT. Just let that sink in. Gonna grab one of these to make up for it. Thanks.

  • +9

I got the same one. It’s so flimsy and bendable

    • It’s so flimsy and bendable

exactly the same as chinese brand options then. better just buy those they were cheaper.

sorry looks like you pay $10 more, for extra 20L size of 290L. so not exactly cheaper. but friend got a good deal on some when they were fulfilled by amazon.

  • Unlucky no one pass

  • Are the 350+L versions ever on special?

  • -3

these are rubbish, made from blood. Buy Aussie made

    • these are sold at bunnings so a lot of people told me they thought it was aussie made.

  • +4

I just picked one up and put to together. These things are trash!

You do get what you pay for. Easy to assemble for sure, but that has a downside that the quality of the final product assembled is so poor. I can see how bugs and insects can get in as per a comment above regarding a cockroach.

I wouldn't pay this price for a second one. If I had it again, I wouldn't have bought one to begin with. Now that it's assemble, I cfb'd returning to back to Bunnings.

Only ok thing about it is that it's in a location that I'll use it as a laundry basket placer/holder to hang clothes on the line.

To give an idea of the internal size, I put 3x empty 9kg gas bottles inside and it filled it up.

So I now use it to store 1x empty 9kg gas bottle, some small garden hand tools, a garden bucket and a watering can.

Also can agree it's flimsy as hell!

I'd revoke my + but it was cheaper than the last deal so I'll give it that.

    • Also can agree it's flimsy as hell!

ok good to know. I actually thought these would have thicker pieces and be much stronger than the Artiss/China ones which are a bit flimsy.

I guess they are no better. I thought the shape of the Keter also had something to do with being able to support more weight but guess not.

even though Keter weight support kg was much higher, they probably support the same weight and chinese brand options just market less weight because they don't want to deal with returns.

  • +1

We have this, and it's flimsy. I cracked ours by standing on it. Granted, not what it's designed for, but I still think it's not as strong as it should be.

  • Too flimsy and soft…

  • -5

Great product. Great value. Not rated to be stood on. It's a storage box, not a standing box, it's also not water tight or bug proof.

plus they are providing jobs to Israeli Jews, Arab Israelis, Palestinians….

Such a fun thread to read through. 🙄😂

  • +1

Looks like it's price matching aldi

    Anyone tried it?
