  • Seems like a good deal foe the batteries alone!

    • Buy 3 batteries, get a free grinder!

Seems like a pretty decent grinder too, ticks all my boxes
      - on/off slide switch
      - brushless motor
      - soft start

Already own an 18V a Dewalt grinder, but I could always use a few extra 5ah batteries

I will help/enable you to justify having another grinder:)

One with a cut off disc and the other with a flap disc. Saves time not having to be constantly swapping discs.

  • How huge will the 8ah 18v be?!

    • If that image is accurate.. not that big

    • It's notably bigger than a 5Ah. I once slided it in a compact impact driver - they looked funny.

I just weighed mine: ~970g, while the 5Ah is only around 500g.

For anyone with 54V batteries and is looking for a grinder, this one is also at a rather good price
    $249 for DCG418 + accessories via redemption

    • This is a great deal. I bought this during the sale too. My first thoughts were geez this is a big machine but it's so well balanced and goes through things like butter. I still have an 18 volt grinder, but this is an absolute beast.
If you are venturing into the 54V market, this is definitely worth getting. The extras alone are worth a couple of hundred dollars

      • I didn't buy it last time (Jun 2025, $269 for the grinder with a charger and 6Ah battery) because it didn't come with a disc. I bought a 18V wet saw at that time instead. Now I have buyer's remorse. Should have opted for this grinder

Thank you, just picked one up.
I had a 9ah flexvolt battery from a previous redemption that just wasn't practical to use on the drill due to its size. But its a perfect match up for this angle grinder and I've been looking for something more powerful than my old brushless Ozito 18v grinder without being tethered to a cable.
Redeemed the concrete cutting blades and shroud… never had a need for concrete cutting before, but I'll have the tools to do it now if a project ever comes up.

  • Can you order online click and collect and still redeem the battery in store or do you need to purchase in store?

  • I don’t need this!
But,… saw it next to tool shop checkout and bought it.
Even better with $50 eGift card from this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/954275

    • Cheers for that. Just claimed myself

      3 batteries, grinder for $300

  • Reminder to claim the gift voucher. I think you have 30 days.

My claim was bounced as the number 6 looks like a 5 on a receipt. So had to reapply.

Also, warranty goes from 1 —> 3 years if you register within 60 days on the dewalt website
