I've got a slightly older Philips tri-head - these are.. okay. Good if you've got quite thick/strong skin? If it's soft; you'll kinda just be pushing into your face half the time waiting for something to happen.. Even trying to stretch the skin best I can, dry, with cream, with powder, just doesn't do a great job.. I got one ages ago to try keep tidying quicker, and it just make it longer lol. A straight style (like their One?) is probably better for quicker cleans/touchups IMO for those with softer skin/baby face skin.

That said, I swap between a straight-style trimmer for lazy times; and a cheap king g safety razor for the closer shaves/better cleans and that works a lot better for me.

    YMMV, of course!

    • yeah i got this one and im convinced im taking longer to shave then a normal razor

      • Ohhhh yeah! I think it's like.. Even though that's straight, the covers are curved/round so they just too easily push in/don't really get close enough to the skin. Maybe it's the same issue with the one in this post..

I've got a like 30 dollar Remington from Amazon for trimming and it's genuinely fine for quick trims/tidy and the safety razor for everything else.. Combined that's like… 45 bucks. 15 bucks for the safety I bought like over a year ago and I've still got 1 blade left of the original pack. Cheap self care for the win lol (let's not talk about my la roche posay cleansers and moisturisers though… (sadly needed for my dermatitis, and still not the most expensive thing out there!))

I found the same, and also it started making a weird grinding noise like the spinners inside the head weren't aligned properly. Went to take off the head to readjust but now it just doesn't click back in properly. Replacement head costs the same as while new Xiaomi shaver so going to give that a try lol.

I have a couple year old series 6000 which looks very similar to the pictured unit. Absolute terrible and wouldn't recommend, the remmington it replaced was far superior

    • Which Remington did you get ?

      • Ive still got the Philips, i had a long in the tooth but operational Remmington that i threw away as soon as I received the Philips, the regret was real.

  • Does anyone have or know which a usb c adapter is compatible with a Philips Series i9000 prestige Ultra xp9402/86? I have one for my Philips series 3000(15v) body shaver but it doesn’t seem fit into the i9000 series

    • Just look up on Ali Ex : Phillips shaver adaptor charger

It costs $2-3 delivered, works well for travel

      • Yeah my previous one was from AliExpress. However, the plug doesn’t seem to fit the Philips slots

        • They're slightly different across different models of shavers. Need to find one on Ali with the same cross section as the original charger

  • Will this help with head shaving, anyone use it for that?
Current palm shavers on the market are so weak
