Previously posted but marked out of stock within an hour. Still in stock at some stores in VIC; nearest to me is Melton. Limited to 3 per customer. Delivery was $4 for me so it worked out to $5 a cable, pretty good considering cheap 4K cables are normally $4.

I was just about to say that. I always thought that HDMI's were all built the same but really need to look for HDMI Certification or Ultra speed to utilise the full 48Gbps

Not really. HDMI 2.1 can do 8k 60hz but because there isn't much 8k content it's more useless than dubious. Also this isn't certified so if someone tested it and proved it didn't work at 8k then you have some reason to call this a scam
Because it's not a certified HDMI 2.1 cable. They do this I assume because it's cheaper to not certify it as ultra high speed
too expensive yes, but also a 150" 4K screen is retina at 3m viewing distance… doubt anyone wants to sit any closer.
Also 4K @ 120Hz requires these HDMI 2.1 "8K ready Ultra High Speed HDMI cable " for full 48Gbps bandwidth 4:4:4

1.5m is a 'patch cable'… you have a BR player and its ontop of a receiver and the cable isnt going any distance
3m is more like useful BUT i mean there's always deals going on and you usually get one free with a monitor etc.

Why do they mention ethernet on some HDMI cables, do they carry network data if, for example, a network attached PC is connected to a smart tv, would the TV get it's internet connection via this cable?

At the beginning my NSW home address wasn't allow to order more than 1.
I tried some random address in NSW and it allows 2 cables but can't be 3.
Then I changed it back to my home address, now it's good to order 2, so $8 for 2 cables.
placed an order for 2 cables, without any issues. hopefully the cable quality will not be too bad. (need 4k @120hz)

The packaging says High Speed, not Ultra High Speed but its 48Gbps and 8k ready. Dont know how that works
