    • Will porting in Optus post paid mobile be ok?

      • Should be fine, OnePass uses the Optus network but they are a separate carrier.

  • +1

I’d go with the lower rate instead, let’s just say my email address creativity has officially reached its limit with the free OnePass offer!

  • Do OnePass offer esim?

    • +1

@thirtysixd not from the last comtact I had in January

    • They don't.

  • what network does this use?

    • +1

      optus 4g for $149 plan, optus 5g (and 4g) for $179 plan

    • I can't find an option for eSIM. Can you please advise? Thank you.

      • Also wanting to know. I left them because they didnt offer e-sim. Would go back if they have it.

        • Sincerely apologise…
Just checked with AI and google

OnePass Mobile does NOT list it as a feature in their plan details.

You may want to check their official site directly for any recent updates, but according to current and recent, detailed, product listings, they rely on physical SIM cards.

  • Stack with Shopback for more cashback too

    • +2

      Topcashback 10% makes $149 135.45

      • +1

damn you right, Shopback was doing like $40 cashback a while ago on the same $149 plan making it a bargain. Topcashback the next best one

  • what's the difference between coles mobile, amaysim and OnePass mobile…?
    they are all optus

    • the price.

    • +1

      Different inclusions etc.

Using one pass atm or previously catch connect, no issues. I remember last year was cheaper than this. Anyone know of a cheaper annual deal than this?

    • +2

A week or two ago, there was a deal with the same price but Shopback offered 40$ cash back making it effectively 109$ for an year.

    • +1

I’m using Onepass mobile since last year 12/4/2025. On 23/2/2026 I received an email offering 25% off + 80gb bonus data to recharge - so $113 for 200gb. I was using the $150 plan / 120gb plan which I purchased for $99 when it was still catch connect.

So you might get an email trying to entice you to turn on auto renew about 2 months before expiry. My husband got the same deal too.

      • Thanks for that !

  • -1

Is that one year onepass membership?

  • If I don't care for keeping my number, can I let my existing service - was using this deal last year - expire and then activate this one as a new service.

I mainly keep this as a backup for tethering

  • Seems pretty good. Kogan has a similarly priced one, but it's 4G only. The higher one here has 5G.

  • Will this sim allow you to receive SMS with mobile data switched off? Such as when you buy a travel sim for data roaming but need to get 2 step-verification codes or messages from home from those not using Whatsapp.

    • -1

      do you mean overseas?
you can only get sms delivered if you pay the $25 roamin package

      • thanks for info. Yes during overseas travel

  • +1

Signal in crowded places is very bad, I'm waiting to finish my prepaid plan to move.

  • -2

Rather choke on a big fat old school SIM card than be on the Optus 4G network

  • +1

I am new to OnePass, and I found that they are not very stable.
    1) I went to Fagan Park, heaps of people, my 2 OnePass is dead, no Internet connection, while my Boost is working perfectly.
    2) I went to DFO today, heaps of people, my 2 OnePass is dead, no Internet connection, while my Boost is working perfectly.

    Conclusion:
OnePass/Optus only works in non-crowded areas. They do not have enough bandwidth allocated to some areas.

  • Can you port your original number to this one?

    • Yes, as long as you're not in a contract with your current provider.

      • You can still port if you have a contract; you would just have to pay an early termination fee. Not recommended, but you can port.

  • Ordered from last deal and still waiting for delivery. Called them but they cannot say where is it as posted untracked. Service gone pretty bad since they took over.

  • just activated the sim tonight, didn't get free one year one pass membership activated

  • I'm still waiting on delivery from the previous deal. Ordered 27/03. Not a great start 🥲.

    • Maybe it was lost in transit? 3 weeks is a very long time to wait for anything to arrive within Australia?

  • does onepass mobile provide 5G on $179/360gb one year plan now? it says 5G/4G compatible (150Mbps max speed)

    • +1

that would be 5G speed since 4G is capped at 100mbps
