I was the same, but major reason why I upgraded was the mic. Pro 3s are able to isolate my voice well in a really noisy environment, whereas v1 struggled when there were other people/noises around me. In a busy office/train platforms, other person has no issues hearing my voice clearly with v3.

Usually warehouse price is $10 less as the online price factors in $10 delivery fee.

I paid full price for them for my mum and it’s been worth every cent. She didn’t even think she’d use them but now she uses them constantly for phone calls and music. They just work and they’re simple and great for calls.
Moreso saying there's plenty of other cheaper and better alternatives if you're not chasing NC

i have anc headphones for planes etc but the airpods fit a particular niche for me

Just make sure these fit before you buy, you can’t return after opening to OW. Costco lets you return or you can probably try them on at Apple Store first.
