Cracking price - these still hold up extremely well.

Uses Roborock's best AI obstacle avoidance technology and is also shorter than the other models with the stick up turret.

You can also stack with the usual 3-5% off gift cards from the wiki of course.

    • Oh my, I totally forgot about that.

$1363 with 5% off gift cards… GREAT price.

      • +1

How to get 5% off jbhifi gift cards?

        • Check the Wiki - I get mine through my employer, uses a rewards program. But lots of others offer them, private health benefits, automotive program discount programs, etc.

Having recently bought a similar looking lubluelu vacuum for $100, I am interested whether these are really 14 times better? It uses lidar to map, climbs up over uneven flooring, self empties, doesn't fall down the stairs, etc, The mopping is pretty basic mind you. These top tier companies seem to be taking the piss at this price?

    • +3

They are taking the piss. No way it cost this much to manufacture. The tech in these things is a decade old now. and they use buzzwords like AI to add an extra grand to the price.

    • +2

I wonder that myself. I've had the lubluelu for a couple of years now. Other than having to untangle the brushes every month or so (lot of hair in my house), I can't imagine what these more expensive models could do better.

      • +3

I don’t think it’s that simple. Yes the price is bigger, but I weigh up not the price of the unit itself, but what benefits each feature bring me and save me time.

I find with this, there is just less cleaning I need to do around the house, less tidy up of “obstacles” before cleaning and less maintenance at the dock.

    • +9

its not about being 14x better. does it offer features and quality of life for the premium it demands that you cant get anywhere else, that you want at the reliability youd expect
if it were this easy and cheap to make the vacuums with the featureset and QOL u want, thered be competitors out the woodwork undercutting each other
But there isnt, the competition is similarly priced or suck balls

the answer is the same as saying my motorolla $150 from kmart makes phone calls and surfs the web same as a $2000 iphone. is it 10x better?

the scale at the flagship level is not linear

i upgraded from my lebluelu to the qrevo edge which was the same price as this (when this was $1800 at the time). the mopping and obstacle avoidance improvements and anti hair tangle already made the money worth it. my floor went from opaque black water to translucent after a few weeks of mopping

but more importantly the mop washing and daily upkeep is once a month vs every time i run the machine.

my time is worth the $1000 premium

at this price for the saros is a steal. but if u didnt want to pay $1499, id wait to see if theres a qrevo edge deal closer to 1k

      • +2

at this price for the saros is a steal. but if u didnt want to pay $1499, id wait to see if theres a qrevo edge deal closer to 1k

This. Had some friends who upon hearing about ours were very interested until they saw the price (at the time $1800 was the lowest to get the 10R). They then asked what would be the best with a budget around $1k and I helped them pick the Qrevo EdgeC. They love it, rave about it all the time.

        • Or the qrevo curv that Amazon had for $999 at the end of last year. Same as the Edge (not edge c which can’t climb thresholds) with a designer dock. YMMV. Very happy although just had to send to Roborock for a fix. Painful, but doable.

But if the saros 10R had been at this price back then would have got it instead. Lower profile, higher threshold climbing.

    • +3

Overall it is not 14 times better but easily at least "5" times better due to suction, build quality, features from the dock etc. The mopping on these upgraded units are best-in-case for the a robovacuum/mopper. Spinning mops is better than vibrating pad.

      • +1

Yes fair enough if mopping is important. The lubluelu just drags a wet rag around so it's pretty much pointless. Then again I only ever mop the floor when there's been some kind of kitchen disasterr, which I presume I'd still need to do with one of these top tier robots - you don't let them loose on a fallen bowl of spag bol?

        • +2

Definitely - they all show them cleaning up massive spills in marketing material, but I certainly wouldn’t allow it to clean that.

I live in the city, mopping is very important at least every 2-3 days. You should see the dirty water tank from the city dust… disgusting!

        • +2

Yeah, they're not that smart and are known to smudge dog doo-doo. I'd do cleaning of big spills but this thing keeps things clean-enough.

At the end of the day, human-mopping is so much better but I dont have that type of time. I use to mop once a fortnight-month. Now its once every 6 months for that 'deep clean'

I have porous porcelian tiles with deep grout :*(

      • Other thing about the spinning mops is that with the arm extension they can get under places the vibrating mop can’t.
That said, the newer roller mops are supposed to do a better job overall even though they can’t get under very low furniture.

  • +3

I have the older flagship model S7 maxV ultra (or something like that). Still going strong after three and a bit years and cleans a 200ish square metre house every second or third day.

Excellent overall. well worth the initial upfront investment.

    • Mine unfortunately just had the dreaded Internal Error: 155 Fan. Fortunately still under warranty period so I'll see if they do good by me.

      • If they don't fix can buy cheap spare parts on AliExpress to swap out. (at least for my older model)

  • 10 vs 10r, which one better?

  • Piggybacking off this post RE robot vacuums:

Roborock Qrevo C Pro ~ $717 (with Perks + gift card)
    or
Dreame L30 Ultra S ~$590 (with TGG TCB, will wait until ~15% comes up again)

ChatGPT seems to rate the Dreame as the more premium machine, whereas OzBargain generally rates Roborock better overall.

    Looking for sub $800

which company is going to be around in 5 years, provides good aftermarket and sales service and support

and is a brand with strong following and resale value for when u want to upgrade

      take a guess

      • You'd be disappointed re: good aftermarket and sales service and support with Roborock. My experience has been pretty bad.

        • I don’t think that is such a big issue here, can deal with JB Hi-Fi who will engage the manufacturer.

          • +1

@Apostle0748: Yea, that was my mistake! Not buying through a big retailer. But, my comment was to do with what furythree said re Roborock vs Dreame haha

        • i have dealt with retailer and roborock direct and they sorted me out perfectly fine

also tons of compatible accessories on ebay amazon aliexpress

          so unsure what ur onabout

        • I am about to find out. At least they paid for shipping.

          • @entropysbane: They might be okay if the product is within the warranty period. Mine was a failure just after 2 years.

            • @lookingforTV: Four months in, large area, daily vac and twice weekly mop. Was very happy until started to get problems.

I had one of the problems fredwu lower down mentioned, it would get stuck in stupid places every now and then. Like fredwu, I had to mark a few spots as no-go zones (such as sliding doors) to try and fix the stucking, all areas where it would not get stuck in the past . But I have had to send it to Roborock as I have been getting a lot of “internal error, please reset the robot”. Reset and it would work for half an hour then complain again. I would not be surprised if it is related.

    • Add this one to your list if you can stretch your budget another $50: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/954272

    • Had a similar shortlist recently (along with Mova P50 Pro Ultra), decided to go with Qrevo C Pro. Mostly due to concerns with Dreame's android app being bad, and Mova being relatively new (sub-brand of Dreame).

Purely on performance the Mova seems like a great value option though.

Pretty happy with the C Pro, mops and vacuums well (much better than my Lubluelu), good obstacle avoidance, minimal maintenance etc. One downside is it doesn't deepclean my medium-pile carpets well. I assume that's a limitation for most if not all robot vacs though.

    • +2

Go with Roborock Qrevo Edge C.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/954312

      • Doesn’t have threshold climbing as I recall.

    • +1

Eufy E25 is another good option to consider, $764.15 with perks voucher ($725 with -5% gift cards).

I'd go and look at some video reviews on them if I were you, Just a Dad Approved on YouTube is decent, not biased.

Having said that, If I had your budget and I were picking from either Roborock Qrevo C Pro, Dreame L30 Ultra S, Mova V50 Pro Ultra or the Eufy E25, I'd probably go for the Roborock Qrevo C Pro. More mature platform/supply of aftermarket parts.

EDIT: Someone found the Qrevo Edge C for under $800. Do that - my friends have one after my recommendation, they can't stop raving about it and paid more than this.

  • +2

Eufy E25 Omni @ $764 seems like the better buy….

    • where at?

      • +1

        JB, using the perks voucher

        • +2

haha, i replied without even checking, thanks!

Thanks OP. Grabbed this for $1,374.05 with eGiftCard discounts.

  • How are these new top end models these days?

I have to admit, I have a Qrevo Edge (pre-ordered when it got launched) and I'm pretty disappointed with it.

A few issues I have with the Qrevo Edge:

    • the Roborock app, despite being well regarded, is super slow, a lot of actions/screens take seconds to load, the Dreame app on the other hand, despite being disliked by many, is significantly snappier

    • the Qrevo Edge would get stuck in stupid places every now and then, I have had to mark a few spots as no-go zones, even then, every once in a while, it'll still get stuck in dumb places, sometimes I simply have to click "resume" and the robot just goes on with its business - which begs the question, why did it think it was "stuck" to begin with? I once even saw it "stuck" in the middle of my floor with no obstructions anywhere near it…

    • apparently this is a "known issue" by many Roborock users, but the map would gradually degrade over time, requiring me to get into the app (which is slow) and restore the saved map frequently (like once every week or two). My Dreame robot (L10S Pro, which is a low/mid-tier robot I use for another floor) does not exhibit this problem.

    • the Qrevo Edge require tools to do the maintenance, whereas my Dreame is tool-free, not a huge deal but it's still annoying. I once even accidentally dropped one of the tiny screws into the Qrevo Edge's body somehow, took me a good 20 minutes with lots of prying and shaking to get it out

So yeah, suffice to say I'm pretty underwhelmed by the Qrevo Edge, especially for its price (I think the RRP was $2799 at the time).

Do these new models work significantly better? :\

    • +1

Interesting to hear, I’ve got two now (Saros 10R and Q10V+).

Switching between them in the app is slow, but once I’m in I haven’t really noticed any issues.

  • I would pay if I knew it would be able to climb a mellow mat/memory foam rug. Can anyone comment on their experiences?

    • How high is it?
My curv is suppose to be able to do 40mm but it does struggle and sometimes needs a run up at our 28mm threshold into the laundry. The saros is supposed to do higher.

    • +1

Works on the mellow mat! Picked one up this morning and have tested a full clean.
      It got up no worries

    • Not robot related (but I am looking for one that can climb thresholds as well) - how's your mellow mat holding up? I'm very keen on one of those Cloud Haven ones but some ppl said its a hit and miss in terms of quality

    • My MaxV S8 Ultra is so dumb with the Mellow Mat. Means I have to pack it away any time the robot has to traverse the area.

  • This is a great price. I would ideally like to buy from Costco given its generous returns policy vs having to deal with Roborock for any potential issues. But Costco price is ~$200 dearer. JB I assume won't help much either in case of issues and redirect to Roborock for issues. The thing with these units are that there are too many points of failure

    • They would, I had an issue with a Ecovacs that I wanted to return. Admittedly this was through TGG not JB, but given they’re owned by the same company I imagine a lot of these processes are similar. They took it back once I explained the problem with it and I got a credit or buy something new.

  • Does the Roborock floor cleaning solution need to be used with this vac?

    • +2

      I don’t bother.

    • +1

No, can just use water, or in my case cheap knockoff from Amazon.

  • Not sure if I should grab this or wait for a deal on the Saros 20.

    • +1

I think you'll be waiting a while for any meaningful discount on the Saros 20. Even when one does come through, it'll be closer to $2k and the difference between both models I don't think is worth the additional $600+ cost.

      • +1

        thats true, bought, thanks!

  • +1

    Dont think, grab now

    • Haha, I was waiting for this comment.

  • does this one prevent poopocalypse ?

  • +1

I bought one on Jan 2025 from China. It cost approx. $1200 inc shipping. But I sincerely suggest you buying it from Australia. It had way too many problems and I had to bring it back to China for twice to repair.

    • Did you have full functionality? I thought roborock has region lock for some features or the app stuff

  • Anyone has experience with Dyson Spot+Scrub™Ai Wet and Dry Robot Vacuum? similar price range

  • Would there be a way to get tehm to honour this price in store. I would like ot get it, but dont like the waiting :)

    • Ireckon they would, I bought mine two weeks ago and when I saw the deal I went back in store, showed them the price, my receipt and the Perks coupon, and they refunded me the difference. So pretty likely they’ll match it for you on the spot.

    • +1

you can use you Perks code in store

  • +1

    thank you! purchased one :)
