Don’t Collingwood members drive off without paying anyway?

    • +7

      @jv does

      • +8

I think jv just huffs the fumes from the nozzle and then does another 100 Ozbargain posts.

    • +9

Depends on whether the tank was almost empty when they stole the car

    • Probably, but I think at this point every teams supporters have had a few think about it.

More wild thing clubs do to members is send out letters to include them in their will when your perish

      https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02-19/collingwood-magpies-a…

    • you could just buy an EV and never pay for fuel I enjoy 8c a kw or even 0c a kw if i use my local shopping center free chargers. registration is also cheaper on an ev.

    • 5 finger discount dude!

      • yep stealing also works.

    • Good times with Eddie Mac…

  • +1

Does it stackable with 4 cents per litre or 8 flybuys points per litre?

Life with the obese orange baby in the White House

        • +4

He's all about "America First", surely he'll give the jobs to US workers and totally won't use cheap foreign labour

          • +2

@dav3: Doesn't matter who he gives the job to there's a good chance they won't even be paid until they sue him.

      • Life with the obese orange baby in the White House

Whose violent tantrums are proudly endorsed by Albanese.

  • Why not start it today? Silly making people wait a week for such a necessity. These billion dollar companies take enough from Australia as it is.

    • Because it's designed for Gather Round in Adelaide that weekend

      • Not sure it was designed for Adelaide though, the places that take these vouchers are basically non-existent in Adelaide

    • +8

Mate it is marketing. Either take it or don’t. They don’t owe anything!

    • Servo tanks should only have reduced excise fuel by then. Currently some could claim they're still serving full excise fuel.
Ampol Fyshwick is showing 289.9 while Ampol EG at Jerrabomberra is 66cpl cheaper!!!

      Caveat emptor.

    • by the time its active, bowsers will already consume the excise duty relief and maybe potentially this.

      • +1

If you're confident of that you could make a motza on futures markets. Trump insiders already have betting on his backflips it seems.

  • +1

Sadly Shell's not in the ballpark in Canberra for my fuel (95) - never is - although stacking will help as long as you're after 91 of E10 according to PetrolSpy's data.

  • +2

In SA, most of the Shell Coles/Reddy were gone. Shell now with OTR which is the Oligopoly fuel retailer in SA. Why 7-11 still not shown on the SA market :(

    • +2

Yeah, it sucks. There’s only one at West Lakes and one or two in the northern suburbs I think. Used to be better when OTR was BP and could actually use Coles vouchers and the like at any Shell station.

I guess OTR is like 711 here. OTR is everywhere.

    • Yes most Shells in metro area are OTRs, but this promo includes a lot of the independent Shells across the state too, which works well for people travelling.

  • +1

Thoroughly fed up with the blatant profiteering by the Big Three and Shell in particular, but some of the Independants joined the fray….and the Feds did nothing despite promises of monitoring price gauging.
    Disgusting behaviour.

    • +4

Where are you dyna? Many prices have dropped markedly since the excise halving started.

Feds have done plenty but their watchdogs probably won't know every servo's daily price fluctuations. You can complain here if you want to help. Doesn't matter if you're right or wrong about gouging, give them some info and they can follow up. Large local price differences is probably a good indicator.
      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/petrol-and-fuel/fuel-price…
Might take 5 minutes of your time.

      These sites are useful.
      https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/terminal-gate-prices
      https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/international-prices/internat…

Every dollar increase in international markets equates to roughly 1cpl at the pump for petrol, which has dropped slightly over last 3 days as the graph shows. International prices normally take about a week to filter through to terminal gate prices here, but times aren't normal by any measure. I somehow doubt the usual discount cycles will be in play for quite a while.

    • From SMH today
NSW issues 24 fines to service stations for price exploitation
      ByEmily Kaine
We reported this morning that NSW had been hit the hardest by ongoing diesel shortages as the war in the Middle East continues to put pressure on fuel supplies in Australia. After inspecting three in every four fuel stations across the state, NSW Fair Trading says it has issued 24 fines in the past seven days to service stations for mismatches between prices at the bowser and prices listed on FuelCheck, as well as for suspected price gouging. The development comes after the NSW government put fuel stations around the state on notice, warning them of hefty fines for price gouging. The Minns government also invested an additional $2 million into its FuelCheck service amid surging use of the website and app, which allows motorists to search for the cheapest fuel prices near them.

  • +1

I was about to get on my soapbox and say my closest Shell is always 11 to 16 cents more expensive than the cheapest in town but just checked the petrolspy app and its only 9 cents more expensive at the moment.

Going through that town maybe in a week so I'll keep it in mind.

  • Is it also Stackable with Shell Motorsport 4c?

    • +2

      No.

The terms and conditions for the AFL fuel offer states it cannot be used in conjunction with any other Viva Energy fuel discount offer (including the Shell Motorsport offer). If you attempt to do this anyway, the checkout will only redeem the offer with the highest discount.

If you are paying for fuel in-store at Shell Reddy Express, the AFL fuel discount offer can be stacked with one or both of the following fuel discount offers:

      • Coles fuel offer: spend $30+ on eligible item(s) at Coles, save 4c/L or earn 8 bonus Flybuys points per litre. (This refers to the paper fuel voucher at the bottom of a Coles receipt, or the digital fuel voucher activated through the Flybuys app.)
      • Spend in-store offer: spend $20+ on eligible item(s) at the convenience store, save 10c/L.
      • +1

        Thanks!

      • Thanks for sharing this, I didnt know about this discount at all. Are there any other stackable discounts at coles shell express along with this one and coles fuel dockets?

        • At Shell Reddy Express, you can only stack the following fuel discounts when paying in-store:

          • Coles fuel discount
          • Viva Energy fuel discount
          • Spend in-store offer.

You can only stack one of each discount offer per transaction. For example:

          • You can redeem one Coles fuel discount and one Viva Energy fuel discount in one transaction.
          • You cannot redeem one Coles fuel discount and two Viva Energy fuel discounts in one transaction.
          • You cannot redeem two Viva Energy fuel discounts in one transaction.

If you are at Shell Reddy Express and paying via the Scan Pump Save app or OTR app, you cannot redeem the Coles fuel discount, any Viva Energy fuel discounts nor the spend in-store offer. These apps instead run their own fuel discount offer (which varies from 2c/L to a free tank of fuel).

The Fuel Discounts wiki goes into this in more detail.

          • @WookieMonster: Thanks,
Looks like Viva Energy fuel discount is by invitation only. And I usually dont buy othet stuff from servos as it the prices are higher. So i will have to stick with this afl offer and coles discount

  • -5

I can't see the offer due to my private dns server setup.

  • +2

I’m starting to see Shell pricing gradually increase against other stations most likely to absorb this $0.10 deal.

  • Shell is notoriously more expensive, closely followed by BP.

    • War is a is a great leveler, now pearl metro united and small servos prices are all levelled with big ones

  • Is this work with otr shell as well or just coles/reddy? Both chain have almost identical fuel price movement.

  • +1

    Showing only 4c for me

  • I was about to fill up and it’s still only four cents, come on AFL!

    • Yep, I've been jibbed before, RACV halved their discount at EG Ampol to 2c, so I started to go to Shell for 8c discounts total but they scanned it as 4c.

  • Same here only 4c

  • It’s working now.

  • Works now

  • Hows does shell diesel compared to bp premium diesel?

  • +1

In S.A. my nearest ReddyExpress is 33km roundtrip so not worth it to me :(

  • Thanks for sharing this, I didnt know about this discount at all. Are there any other stackable discounts at coles shell express along with this one and coles fuel dockets?

  • Here in North Perth, most of the Shell stations are selling UPL for 223.5. The two Burke stations nearby are 207.3, and they will give you 4 cents off that if you show a Flybuys or Woollies reward card. So 10 cents off, still makes it 6 cents more expensive. Marketing BS.

    • 10c + 4c stacks

  • BP and Shell are always premium priced. Even with 10 cents off the opposition is still a better price by 8 cents …🤔

  • +2

Managed to get $2.33 after $0.10 for U98 at Kingston Garage, Heatherton, VIC. He said “savvy shopper” little does he know just how savvy we all are!

    • 98 is 250 across Vic at all Reddy Express

      • Try 65 Kingston Road, Heatherton, VIC, 3202

  • +2

    Mine stacked with 4c Flybuys.

  • Just wish to know if anyone is able to create AFL account successfully? I tried 3 different email addresses and no verification email has arrived. I also check Junk folder.

  • the app won't send through the email to reset my password

  • +4

    CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS PLEASE!

Went fuel up tonight at Norwest Reddy Express, using the AFL 10c and coles 4c vouchers. Both vouchers got applied as "fuel_offer", which works out to be 14c.

However, the EFTPOS charged the amount equivalent to 10c discount only, and have an extra line for "change back" equal to the 4c (i.e. to be refunded as cash, as EFTPOS overcharged).

Cashier refused to refund. According to cashier, this has been happening since Friday.

Now emailing Reddy customer service to chase up the refund.

    • +2

      Same

      • Have you followed up with Reddy?

    • FWIW my fill up last night took off 14c/l

  • -1

The 10c/L voucher did not work for me. :(

    • worked without a hitch
only works in shell Reddy express not OTR
      Coles flybys 4c wasn't used

      • and it is valid for a single day only
