Really fun game. As close to the original RCTs as you'll get.

Skip the clone and go for the original.

I was shocked at how empty Planet Coaster is without DLC. I guess you can download buildings from the workshop but there's almost zero premade content in game. Designing your own coasters is fun, spending 45 minutes hand crafting a toilet block out of shapes, less so… Imo

      • So base game no good …. ?

For a couple of bucks you might enjoy it. Personally I'm more into the park operations side of thing than hand placing flowers on footpaths

Nah it is good. Especially for 3 bucks.

It works well and there's a ton of missions. Just they added a lot of dlc later

      • I still prefer RCT, however I did find this a very good spiritual sequel.

        • Have you tried Parkitect?

          • @mnko: I have it in my library but haven't tried yet

            • @dramant88: I'd highly recommend giving it a go. I love RTC1 & 2. Couldn't get into Planet Coaster at all but really enjoyed Parkitect.

    • I remember them coming out at nearly the same time and man that RCT Reboot got absolutely destroyed next to this.

Deservedly so, they were counting on nostalgia, but they could not hold a candle next to the presentation Planet Coaster gave.

Bruh. I looked at reviews and stuff for ~10 minutes considering whether I should add another game to the backlog - then I see "Planet Coaster is already in your Steam library"

    LOL

So… Did you buy it? I mean you never know when you might need a second copy.

    • It was free one month ago, that's when I and maybe you got it.

I actually didn't see this one. But nah, looking through my emails I bought this on steam in 2024 for the same price $3.24
