I just bought a new TV last week because the C8K was over my budget. But since I went with a cheaper TV (a TCL 65P7K for $619 after discounts), the speakers were pretty bad, so I had to buy a soundbar (a JBL SB550 for around $190). Now the total cost is getting pretty close to the price of the C8K.
Now the only thing I’m not happy with is that the P7K doesn’t have the anti-reflective coating like the C series, so I can see reflections from outside light on dark scenes in the living room.
At least it’s for my parents, so I just took back my own 55" Sony OLED and kept using it. Still, I missed the chance to upgrade to a 65" Mini LED.
Ugh if only 55".

When I got it I set it up temporarily and ran some YouTube 4k content and it seemed very good. I have meant to put it in the man cave over this long weekend to replace a 48 inch LG B5 which is very good as well.
Have, with the JVC, 4 Oled tv,s in the house going back to 2016 with an LG 55 910.
Back in the day I had a Pioneer kuro plasma. Had it for 18 years.
It would make sense the native 4k content looks the same as an LG (it's an LG panel after all).
But would like to know what the upscaling, motion processing, color reproduction are like (should notice in footy games etc).
Also the smoothness of Web OS with their own chipset?

For future potential purchases is this a decent upgrade for me? I currently have the base samsung 65 inch, the CU8000. We watch a lot of tv, films and play a fair bit of swittch and xbox series x, in a reasonably dark room. Would this be a major upgrade or not so much?
How does this compare to the Sony XR65X90L that’s on sale for $1299.99 or tcl 75” c6k for $1249.99 in Costco today?
The C6K is not great at that price, we had the 75C7K for a lower price which is closer to the C8K with the biggest difference being the lower brightness level. - Malcolm

Was only the 65". For me it showed $1588. With 15% off a checkout for $1349.80 and with RAC $1282.31.
Not sure where the $1,182.31 came from. To get 1182.31 after 15% off and RAC (5%) off it would have to be 1464.16$100 off $1000 spend

Any ideas on wheter C7K models (55 and 65inch) are coming back in stock, or are they being replaced by C7L and C8L?
C7K 55 was very well priced but did not pull the trigger :(Some retailers may still be having stock come in however we are now sold through everything we'll receive until the C7L and C8L's land. - Malcolm
