We just went there earlier this week, paid full price (hands in ozb badge).
While it was a good experience, the cable car out of service was a big disappointment. That was one of the main attractions! We only got to know after getting there - so letting our community know, in case anyone is in the same boat as us.

The free one is the lowest priced ticket , so for 2 adults 1 kid , the kid ticket is free.
Could you buy a kid ticket by itself in one booking - and then go and buy the two adult tickets in a second booking (getting an adult ticket for free)?
