At least credit @Jackspick in this deal for finding it https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/954067

    • Username checks out

    • Well I'm sorry, but when I looked at a list of deals tagged (Switch 2 Games), I didn't see this game as part of the list.

Also, I got this deal from my email newsletter I got from EB Games, so in a way, we found it in different sources.

If I did make a mistake, my bad :/

These games are dropping in price like flies lmfao.
Could it be that switch 2 games are too expensive to buy at RRP?

Hyrule warriors is not a massive seller.

The last one was the best selling musou game with 3m in four days lol… Just from looking at charts, games like Mario Tennis are definitely down due to the higher price point.

I’m waiting for the Mario tennis fever dropping price soon.

  • All first party games are on card right, not code?

    • This one is.

    • +2

If it's a key card they'll have a white bar across the bottom of the box art that says so. Otherwise it's on cart.

      • Thank you, just got Bravely Default HD as my first ever Key Card, seems so weird as a way to save like, $8 or whatever it is…

        • $8 a couple of million times would really add up though.

          • @Everettpsycho: I'm thinking just put a strip of paper with a code in the box and then I can leave other games in the slot. This way is all of the hassle of cartridge with none of the upside. I'm assuming you still have to have it in the slot to play? Or does it bind the key to your account like a code?

            • +2

@TimR31: They do sell code in a box as well which is exactly that. Big difference is game key cards are a license in a game card that you can swap and sell like a full game card, codes are one time use that bind to your account.

I have less of an issue with game key cards than code in a box. The former has benefits, the matter produces waste and emissions for what is basically a digital purchase. They should just issue scratch cards or email the codes out instead of. Boxing then up.

It's also funny Nintendo cop the flack for this concept, but Microsoft have done it too with doom where they basically issues a disc license only. Hilarious most people didn't even notice because you always end up downloading the day one patch anyway. I don't like that the discs are useless but ultimately since day one patches became a thing they have become largely useless.

I have seen some comments from Reddit where people were a bit disappointed with this game when compared to the previous one, but for that price I think it should still be worth it.

  • Got it from / price matched from office works for $54.50
