Finished with Requiem? Return to the time that made Chris Redfield's name feared among villains as that boulder-punching a-hole as he seeks to take down his arch nemesis Wesker yet again.

Really good, had a blast doing this on coop and replaying with unlimited ammo and higher difficulities

Underrated Resident Evil 5 was fun local co-op at its time, me and old mate played this overnight, think we cooked that Xbox 360

Resident Evil 6 is also on sale for PlayStation now.

If anyone is debating whether to buy RE6 or not, dont.

Yeah, enjoyed RE5 but RE6 was not fun, even playing co-op

is that why it sold over 14 million copies? Its still a fun coop game and one of the longest RE game so plenty of content

Graphics still look amazing today.

Mods to disable the yellow filter make it look a lot better too.

I loved it back in the day, started off on the 360 version, finished it and moved to the ps3 version soon after. I actually prefer it over RE 4 and… (shudder) 6. I haven't played it for donkeys years.(Steam says 2013…. LOL), that pre-dates when they got rid of GFWL and it became a stand alone game.
I'm doing a mini RE playthrough (1-3 originals), RE 2/3 Remakes (finished them both on xbox and pc… skipping playstation for now lol). Playing through RE 4 Remake for the first time (first chance I've had after missing previous sales of it). Will go on to RE 5 straight after. I don't intend on getting Requiem until it goes on sale (maybe at the end of the year). I like the RE games, but they are more palatable when purchased on sale :P.

Re4 OG and remake are literal perfection. Itโs like the fallout new Vegas of the RE series imo. Give it a chance ๐ฅน

Not denying that they are good, I'm just over half way in RE4 Remake right now…. I didnt mind RE 4 when I first played it (PS2 release, not the Nintendo version) - I finished it several times and thats despite grtting motion sickness in the castle section.
I've not been able to stomach the Xbox/PC versions of 4 (original and the HD texture versions that came out in the mid 2010s), get mega motion sickness near the start of the game :-/.
RE6 kick started one of my most major gaming lulls I've ever had. It was just meh and along with the NBA 2K title at the time, I lost interest and followed other non gaming pursuits for months after.

boulder-punching a-hole
I bought this on ps3 in release back in the day but never got around to playing it lol - happened to see this boulder punching segment today in a reel on ig and thought oh hell yeah I need to play this game. Thanks op

I don't know why this one gets so much flak, it's great. I've platinumed it on PlayStation 3 ๐ and recently on Xbox Series S. It's still great and bad Jill is hot!

It gets flak from the hipsters, sales wise its one of the best selling RE games

I would assume most peoples opinion on this game is based on whether they first played it coop or single player, I played it coop and I thought it was awesome, went back to get some collectibles single player and there were times when it felt like the game had soft locked cause I was waiting for Sheva to do something and she just wouldn't.

I never played co-op I only ever played single player and those issues are minor to me… yes occasionally she would get stuck on a bit of scenery or waste a load of ammo but part of getting good at the game is learning how to stop those things happening. Anyway it didn't spoilt the game for me personally and back when it was first released a lot of games had similar issues with AI. It's still a fun - and at times ridiculous game, which I enjoy to this day - which is what the earlier Resident Evil games have always been.
It depends on what you are used to as well I guess - I was in my 20s when the PS1 came out and played RE1,2 and 3 on that console so I was used to the jankiness!

"COME ON SHEVA HURRY HURRY C'MON HURRY!!!"

IM COMING

Ok but what about sheva

Best co-op RE ever.

Albert Wesker: 7 minutes…. 7 minutes is all the time I have to spare to play with. Here I am offering you my precious time and you waste it by running around… Oh how disappointing… Playtime is Over ๐๐๐

When will re5 be remade?

Gimme an egg !

I remember playing the demo for this on the 360. Ended up buying the game finishing it and using trainers to absolutely break it. Simpler times.

5 & 6 have absolutely terrible PC controls, third person cameras, and action, but as others have said, it's an absolutely fun (is not chaotic and wtf) co-op experience

Actually quite keen to jump back into RE5 after playing through RE9 - but think i'll hold until the expected remake

It might be a while. The report is we will get Code Veronica remake first, followed by an RE1 remake.
https://wccftech.com/resident-evil-requiem-dlc-rumor-leon-keโฆThen, there is RE Zero as well which is getting a bit old as well. If they follow the previous two (between RE7 and 8) or one (between RE8 and 9) remakes between new main game releases, then you might be waiting until after RE 11 before they remake RE5.

Yeah itโs a bit of a pickle isnโt it haha

I enjoyed RE4 and RE5. Was great, worth picking this up, unless Capcom are doing a remake! haha

Quite fun if you play co-op
