Sharpie Permanent Markers Limited Edition 20 Pack $10 + Delivery ($0 with $65 Metro Order/ OnePass/ C&C/ In-Store) @ Officeworks

1480

Seen this in store when picking up my JBL headphones. Considering a single Sharpie is $3-$4 i figured 20 for $10 was a bargain. Picked up 2 for the kids.

Includes 15 known Sharpies + 5 mystery.

There is surprisingly so many stores that have these available, theres no way this gets ozbargained right

    • Yeah there was about 20+ on the "clearance" shelf at my local!

  • Seems to be out of stock for Melbourne delivery

    • +1

It is, but if you set your store on the Officeworks website/app to one that still has it in stock, you can place a click and collect order (or you can go to the physical store and purchase it there).

The Officeworks You In Stock website says nearly all stores across Melbourne currently have at least six in stock.

    • Try Kmart

Kmart is selling this for the same price. Not sure if they will deliver though, they wouldn't for me.

      • Can't see the same on Kmart site. Got a link? Thanks.

You sure you want to be giving out permanent markers to your kids? Maybe go for the washable ones.

    OOS for me in Sydney.

    • Dang it - my local OW is one of only 4 stores in the whole of NSW that is OOS!

Link to Kmart's clearance sale is below. Unit price is 2 cents cheaper. Though same as Officeworks and is click and collect/in store only.
Also based off the picture, Kmart's are all black with one blue I guess? Compared to the mix of colours from Officeworks.

It's on clearance for a reason, let alone special. I bought them and found it a waste of money. The colours aren't as dark, very faint like as if it's out of ink brightness. I didn't end up using it as a result.

  • Wished they had a 5 or 10 pack. I dun need that many colours lol

  • Last time I got these they smelled so strong and toxic… Kids would get a headache

We need to raise them tough not like jelly beans!

Love the smell of a sharpie 🤣 but I don't go out of my way to sniff it. Same with fuel. These products contain aromatics which for some are a pleasant smell that trigger certain reactions to them.

When I was a kid I remember the markers had a unique smell, and not the art line markers - anyway theres a herb you can grow called Marjoram and the aroma is so similar to the markers it's crazy.

    • I used to think permanent markers smelled like ham 🐷

    • Great life choice. It's getting really expensive to sniff petrol.

      • They prohibit alcohol based markers in rehab. Mouthwash or sanitiser containing alcohol only available in public spaces under staff supervision..

I don't know if they lick, eat or smell the contents, but apparently some go to pretty drastic lengths to get some result.

I hate wasteful packaging like this. 75% empty space. Not cool.

You're going to hate sub atomic matter…

      • That's not a case of idiocy making the environment pay

    • Have you got any pics or measurements to illustrate what you mean?

      • Not him but the box is pretty big considering that you can hold all the contents in your hand. Just look at the photo

      • ~75% the size of an A3. An inch deep.

No wonder it’s on clearance, would’ve been taking up a lot of shelf space.
