192x Ibuprofen 200mg Coated Tablets (Expiry June 2027) $11.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

1000

Hi Ozbargainers,

Hope you're all well, I've been off work for a few days, but I'll be back on deck tomorrow (to process all of the orders which came in over the Easter break) - High on my list of customer request has been another ibuprofen 200mg deal, I ran this deal back in late 2025 which was wildly popular and I've been approached by many many clients asking for a repeat except with a longer dated product. I reached out to Trust who provided the stock for the original deal and sadly they declined to offer more product at the same price - so I had to move on to another supplier. Thankfully for Ozbargainers Generic Health came to the party and have offered me their Pharmacy Action Brand of Ibuprofen 200mg at a similar pricing - not quite as sharp - but to kick sales off I will offer the Pharmacy Action product at the same price end user price as the last Trust ibuprofen deal @ $11.99 for 192x Tabs delivered.

DO NOT CONSUME MORE THAN THE RECOMMENDED DAILY AMOUNT, REFER TO PRODUCT BOX FOR USAGE AND WARNINGS

Item: 192x Pharmacy Action Ibuprofen 200mg (FILM COATED TABLETS)
Price: $11.99
Code: NOT REQUIRED (But we cannot hold this price forever)
Delivery: FREE via Aust Post
Link: https://pharmacysavings.com.au/products/pharmacy-action-ibup…
Expiry: End June 2027

Please note this product may appear elsewhere on our website, finding an alternate link on our website and paying MORE will not result in a better product or one with longer dating being sent, I have again received an email from a very disappointed Ozbargainer who thought paying MORE would result in me magically finding and sending a longer dated product. Remember Ozbargain is a club - 60-70% of our sales have to be to "those" outsiders to keep prices lower for Ozbargainers, which means that links on our site promoted via more mainstream advertising will generally be at higher pricing (not a better product) !

If anyone wants the original Trust brand (noting shorter exp) here is the link to the remaining stock:

  • I received these on Wednesday the expiry date is 5/2026, must be my luck

Hang onto them in case you ever have a headache and a time machine at the same time.

I've seen a link shared more than once, for US military trial on efficacy of "expired" medications.
Probably irresponsible for me to advise others. But I personally buy them.

    • Contact op?

      • It’s fine, will give some to my colleagues. for 12 aud it’s still worth it

Difference between buying this and 8 packs from Coles is?

    • My local was completely cleaned out of them. They don't advertise them as film coated either (not that I would care enough)

    • Mind you, Coles is supposed to have a limit of two per transaction, if the staff bother to enforce it that is.

Also, they have to be losing money on these. As the lowest that all discount chemist stores seems to be able to get their unit price down to is around 10 cents a tablet.

      • +1

The checkout terminals enforce it. If you try to scan more than two, it shows an error that needs to be cleared by a staff member.

        • b-but… my baseless speculation!

  • +5

Thanks. This is a lot cheaper than dentist.

  • +5

    This transaction was pain free.

Is this legal to sell in this quantity? Just wondering….

    • +1

Yes it is legal to sell 2x boxes of ibuprofen.

      • +1

        Wasn't that 2 x 24 tablets though…..not a total of 192?

        • +2

Limits apply to non pharmacy sellers. (Petrol stations etc)

          • @jason101: Limits also apply to pharmacies selling them over the counter

        • +3

          There's always one

          • +6

@spy: FYI Spy, and btw thanks for your derogatory comment, According to the TGA a pharmacist must individually assess you to determine if the quantity requested is suitable as well as asking if you are taking other medications as well as having discussions around overuse and risks associated with that such as kidney damage etc.

That's why generally a maximum box of 96 is allowed, especially from online suppliers. Simply selling 2 x 96 boxes without properly carrying out an individual assessment appears to not comply with the TGA requirements.

If a phone call or similar occurs with a pharmacist then I imagine that would be ok

Edit: So I can select to buy 100 boxes of 192 tablets with zero warnings and no consultation, so definitely appears to be non compliant according to the TGA

            • -1

@Homerlovesbeer: Not sure why you're being downvoted. You are correct

            • @Homerlovesbeer: Do you happen to know the specific TGA rule that governs this? (I asked my AI but they didn't know, maybe I need a new AI.)

            • +1

@Homerlovesbeer: Questionable too whether professional duty as a pharmacist is being adhered to - Pharmacy Board SA APHRA?

            • @Homerlovesbeer: Blah blah blah blah TGA this TGA that…you speak like anything stops me or anyone from gettting 200 of these from a local supermarket if they intend to do so.
I am well educated on the side effects etc. and prefer not to be treated like a fool in that regard. As a bargain hunter, I appreciate the opportunity to buy a large amount of medicines at a cheap price (painkillers, antihistamines etc.) so I can pop some in my car, my office etc. and also share them with family and friends.
As for these half arsed limits imposed by TGA, if the government intends to exercise controls on the sale of these medicines, then they should do so property otherwise they are meaningless.
OP - bring on more bargains!
Now, if you don't mind champ, I'll go pop a couple of them ibuprofen pills in me mouth to fix the headache your response caused.

            • @Homerlovesbeer: But you're not worried about actual, proven, recorded genocide, just a phrase that you think "incites" it.
I hope one day you see what a disgusting hypocrit you are.

          • @spy: Yup, and username pharm86 as well….

Is it even legal to sell more than a month's ibuprofen without pharmacist supervision?

    • +2

Nobody free to supervise you walking to one shop after another and pick up 2 boxes each. I have never had problems buying nurofen in bulk at Costco. Though they have limit 1 per transaction on panadol.

      • Try to go on checkout with 192 tablets

        • +2

Big f-ing deal. I walked into chemist and picked up 3-4 boxes of paramax (50 tablets each) with no issue. Same as Costco with nurofen when it was on sale. Seriously, nobody gives a f!! You wanna kill yourself with pain killer? Ain’t no government legislation going to stop that!

  • +1

Nothing wrong with taking these, given the expiry date….like many medicines they just lose their efficacy.I take them to a Third World fishing destination each year and the Doctors there are grateful for them.

  • -8

You will find this is not S2 quantity. Shady practice to be selling this sort of quantity, online with zero consultation

    • There there…

    • +2

Nobody stops you from going to one shop after another and getting 2 boxes each. What consultation? Who provides consultation for pain killer over the counter?

      • -2

There are laws and regulations pharmacies must adhere to.

        • +1

Why didn't I have any problem buying 150+ paramax tablets at Chemist WH? No pharmacist jumped in giving me any consultation!
What a load of rubbish if there was any regulation preventing people from buying more than 2 boxes of pain killer.
Get a life! Go pick on something else that matters.

          • @itstuan: 150 tablets would have had to be sold to you as a schedule 3 medication. Which means pharmacist needs to be involved in the sale to ensure safety.

I am not the one who makes the legislation, the pharmacist who is running this online pharmacy (run out of Craigmore North Pharmacy) needs to follow said legislation.

  • +14

Baffled by the comments objecting to this online pharmacy selling one of the most mainstream acceptable over the counter drugs in history. Why do you care whether someone can buy 192 tablets in one transition? It’s a basic first world medicine. If you have issues with the population having easy access to NSAIDs you probably need to shift your focus to lower hanging fruit.

    • +6

this is why we can't have nice things

    • +2

      100%.
If people were in Asia, do you think they have such limitations? We're all smart adults here, no need to be nannied all the time. Dayum…

      • Certainly. There are similar limitations in place in countries such as Singapore, Japan and South Korea

    • +3

But… but… how would I ever keep myself safe without advice and monitoring from daddy government?!

      • +1

        😂😂😂

    • If they want to sell S3 quantity of medication, they need to do it legally and within the guidelines.

      • -1

Go tell someone who cares pharmacist boy.

        • What made you think I was talking to you?

  • +4

    Cheaper at Aldi

    • That’s great…IF you have an Aldi nearby. For the rest of us it’s good value, especially as it includes postage. Aldi definitely won’t do that for you.

    • Actually they are too! Time to go get 10 packs.
      ;) @pharm86

      • You do you, my comments are made to my peer who is obviously forgetting their professional obligations

  • tf2 medic my beloved <3

  • What is the point of the film coating? Does it make it more potent?

    • +2

Makes it easier to swallow as the film gets a bit slippery when wet. Also helps without tasting the bitterness of an uncoated tablet.

      • +1

I always take it with a spoonful of sugar.

  • Are these safe to take for hang over every weekend?
