        If they are made of plastic, and you still have to assemble and paint, wouldn't it be cheaper to 3D print them?

          yes but people often prefer to play with the official product over 3D printed proxies. Some will 3D print models for their armies, but there isn't a shortage of gamers who only want the real thing.

          Yes, but you also have to spend 500-1000 bucks or more on a 3D printer and filament etc, and even then the results won't look anywhere near as good, because GW don't use FDM printers for the minis.

                @Morkai: I'm not a pro, but a toothbrush, plastic container 'bath' and a few hours in the sun seemed to be okay. Like anything you can spend to reduce effort.

                But even at $150 for a 2nd hand wash setup you're still going to be WAAAAAAY in front 3d printing WH, even more so if you decide to change games or armies.

    I’m way out of touch with pricing since my last Battle Force was the Eldar one in 2002 for $145. Would’ve expected something like this to be $200-$220 RRP these days.

    It had 20 guardians, 3 jet bikes, 1 Vyper jet bike and 1 Falcon Grav tank. Provided this has 36 figurines but at $435 RRP it’s more than double what I expected it to be.

      Prices have steadily increased for Warhammer. I'm relatively new to it (joined at the start of 10th) but essentially AUD retail for Battleforces is around the $420-$435 mark. Hence why I put up this deal as it's even below the cheapest hobby shops by about $50.

      I have seen some videos analysing price increases compared to prices in the last 30-40 years, and adjusted for inflation they surprisingly haven't changed that much! In some cases they have actually decreased.

            @Merlict: Dude, metal was so much better to mod with. And the physical WEIGHT of the fig. Made it feel substantive. Like yeah, this feels like $300.

    Hi. I used to be able to buy Games Workshop from the UK and even with shipping it was 33%+ cheaper than Australia. Then Games Workshop banned UK shops from selling to Australia. So I am surprised Amazon UK can sell to Australia.
