I don't know, one comment advise to buy Ryobi/Bunnings for ease of warranty. This is $119

15l vs 20l and stainless vs plastic canister, 15l filter bags might be cheaper or easier to get but probabaly more vac size and weight that might be the decider. Good thing is both have the cartridge filter included and most ozito don’t.

Bags seem to be $5 a pop. That's a bit annoying.

This vs Shark Messmaster if it's mainly for car cleaning, balcony cleaning and food spills? Is the 1000W vs the latter's 780w a big deal? How is the blow mode vs a Wolfbox MF200 blower?

I've owned one of these for a while now. It's a very robust and compact garage / workshop vac with plently of suction (As long as the filters are kept clean).
The only small gripe is that it's not really 15 litres as the filter takes up some of the waste bucket, otherwise it's well worth the money 😉

    • when wet vacuuming, will the water level hit the filter before shutting off for full?

      • Hi, sorry for the late reply. I have never used it for wet vacuuming so unfortunately I cannot comment there.

      • Yes it will, it has a float that will stop water from entering the motor when the water level hits max. You will hear a change in sound from the motor (higher pitch). This is when you turn it off and empty it.

No delivery to my post code.

  • are they any good?

    • +5

Well they kind of suck to be honest.

      • +1

That's not really fair. It also blows

  • Would this clean my gutter full of leaves every 6 months?

    • +2

Only if you hold its hand the whole way.

      • -1

In that case I’ll resist purchase

    • +2

Clean it once then put this in?

    • Better off installing a gutter guard. I am doing that by myself.

  • Anyone with this rate it for the garage and cleaning up grass that comes in with the lawn mower and just general outdoor materials that come in or come from cutting on a work bench?

    • +1

It’s ok for the small things and it’s light, and the cartridge filter last forever if you also use the cloth filter over it.

    • I recommend a blower in the garage. Any sharps bits you accidentally vacuum like wood bits and screws will shred the bag or even worse destroy the motor.

    This or Ozito?

  • Dumb question: what's the difference (in use cases) between this and the corded Dyson ones which are being sold for $400-600?
    Thanks

    • This one can vacuum liquids (change to the foam filter first). Can also attach the hose to its exhaust port and use it as a blower. Can be used for plasterboard/concrete dust. The Dyson is more appropriate for indoor use as it's filtration is much better.

Good - the cleaning head (floor tool) swivels, not all do.

Bad - the rubber seal between the motor and bucket came off, difficult to glue back, caused air leak and lost of suction. It's not exactly rubber, but some sort of foamy material.

  • OOS.

    Missed out.

  • I returned a Bosch vacuum last year as it was giving the worst static shocks I've ever had every time I used it, plus it didn't have great suction. Ended up spending a bit more and getting a Makita which was miles better.

Having said that, this is pretty cheap, so it might be worth it for some.

    • Anti static hose cost good amount of money.

Has anyone used this as carpet / car seat extractors? Im wondering should I get this instead of Bissell Spot Clean AutoMate Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner.

    • +3

I do, i bought the special head on AliExpress to do this. It works pretty well paired with one of those carpet cleaner liquids which i spray around the area and leave for q couple of seconds before vacuuming. I use it also for cleaning couches, kids mattresses when they have accidents, car interior, home carpets, etc. Very useful and no need to buy a separate spot cleaner.

      • Have you got a link to this please mate? Would make the product much more versatile.

        • +1

Sorry, it was on eBay years ago actually. The item is no longer listed but it said "Extractor Tool Hand Wand With Clear Head for Upholstery & Carpet Cleaning, J8B2"

Bought one based on this comment.. Cheers mate.
