Do you need gold live to play this online?

yes, i think pretty much everything but fortnite does. I was disapointed when i accidently played Diablo IV with a mate online on a free week, then went to play it the next week and it required xbox gold.. pay wall for online play is dodgy considering PC doesn't require it.

they build in that it needs online servers - (earlier versions didnt) then charge you for the use… Like i get for MMOs that they need a central server and to maintain it, but when earlier versions of diablo were fine with what they had, then they deliberately add this, that's just dodgy.

I recall this has a nude prison shower scene at the start which was super akward with the family….. WTF moment.

The level of violence of the game means it is not intended to be family‑friendly anyway.

      • Oof. Bought to play with my ten year old after we smashed Split Fiction

Great game, if I'm not mistaken I think this is the same creators as it takes two

And the recent (also stellar and critically acclaimed) Split Fiction!

      • Have played both to completion with the wife. Wish there was another of the same to play next.

  • So overrated. tried to play with my wife. but the dialogue was so long and drawn out. It was like watching a really terrible long movie. hard pass.

Yeah this game is more casual than something like it takes two or split fiction. Having said that, it is not a bad game. My partner did not have much gaming experience in general and this was a good game for us to play together.

I thought it would be more or less on the same level. These games are designed to be able to be played with your non-gamer significant other
