NB you wont get the FPS they did in this video as your cpu is ancient, but you can see its a much much more capable card.

In the end, actually made $30 from Mwave Amex offer. Was able to raise a ticket to cancel order which was accepted before dispatch. Turned into a win after all.
Last time Mwave had a price error with a gpu (4060 ti 16gb iirc), they sent $20 mvave credit as compensation for order cancellation. Wonder if they'll do it this time.

Oof, that would be not good. Just be wary Mwave is notorious too for not able to cancel your order citing it is their T&Cs, aka, they do whatever that suits them!
Luckily i held back after i searched the model number and thought it to be an 8gb model. I feel sorry for the people that already bought it. They'll have every right to get a refund under consumer law though. Aren't they owned by digidirect now? I know they're pretty good with refunds.

Why is this happenings again with Mwave, it's intentional, same pricing error on the same 5060ti 16GB last year.
Showing the correct description now as 8gb, wonder if those who ordered while it said 16gb will be notified.

They updated the listing and it's been updated in "my orders" to 8gb too. No invoice has been generated yet despite order paid at 4:17am.
Just telling you, no way out of this since they did a sneaky change and their T&Cs. They may argue that the product SKU is correct at the time of posting, but you may be able to argue your way out with your email order confirming it is paid for 16gb version instead.

@thesab: How did you pay? I used afterpay - usually use it with these sort of sites to avoid surcharge and not have to wait for bank transfer to go through, then pay off immediately after receiving item.
There is no invoice in my email or mwave account, only order confirmation that doesn't list the item details.
First all mwave for a refund if they say no then go to your states consumer court. You have this website as your proof which will 10000000% stand up on court. You have around 100 witnesses. Takes this website to court and there's your evidence. The judge will accept it 100% I would actually start with your credit card company first though and try a charge back if they register to cancel the order or give you a refund. When they ask for proof show them the website. I've done it before and the bank gave me my money back and i got to keep the product. If mwave hassle you for it back, tell them to GO F**K THEMSELVES. They'll soon learn.
No chance. They can't advertise one thing and then send you another regardless of what their t&c says. The law is the law and their t and c can't contradict them.

Galax makes the exact card in a 16gb variant - same name, cooler etc, just 16gb.
for whom ordered, go to the website version, click the order history, click in the order and you will see the PROFORMA INVOICE.
You will have the Description inside. And download the PDF invoice, use it to battle if they ship the 8gb version.
Even if you battle it, their response will be "okay, cool here is the return label".
I'd just ask for a refund before they ship it out to save the hassle personally.

I don’t understand why we should be the ones requesting a cancellation when the mistake was theirs. They should proactively contact us and handle the annoying procedures and waiting times. And honestly, after all that hassle. In addition to that, ideally some compensation would be appropriate.
I’m not going to email them to ask for a cancellation. If they sent the wrong version, I’ll simply tell them they have 5 business days to fix it, otherwise I’ll open a dispute through my bank or PayPal. I don’t mind spending two minutes dropping it off at the post office next door and making them lose a bit on return postage as well.
I will do the same

I have just received the same message. I am very disappointed and will not be using Mwave again. I provided all my personal details during the sign‑up process, only to encounter this issue. I am considering submitting a complaint to the ACCC, as this seems to be a recurring problem posting misleading description too often.
Price error? have little faith in mwave these days lol. It's not even marked as a sale/discount.
