$29 for a large box of Cadbury chocolates seems like a deal to me.
It was on sale for $25 back in 2024 but you know, inflation.

Costco usually has it at this price too.

    • i think it may be a little cheaper atm. it was when i was there a few weeks ago. they have 606g bags of lindt balls for $24 too

      • Last time I bought two boxes from Big W thought good price, until I saw Costco price was $22.

You can expect to have close to 50% Turkish Delight… no thanks!

    • +6

The box I bought from Costco had about 50% Cadbury Dairy Milk. Shame they're not more equal ratio's.

      • +3

Its probably how they dump whatever they have excess of, so always different ratios.

    • +23

What! Turkish Delight is the best. Dairy Milk is the worst because its the easiest to make and you can get a large block of choc if you want that. My guess is they dump in the box whatever they have excess of but I'd love to get more Turkish Delight. Its always Dairy Milk for me.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Great minds. 😆

      • Friends don't let friends eat Turkish Delights. Disgusting chocolate bars, which is why my club doesn't sell Cadbury Chocolate Fund-raising Boxes at work anymore. Guaranteed 10 Turkish Delights left over from every box. It just doesn't make business sense to sell them as only a select few eat them.

I love turkish delight, one of my fav bars of all time…

It's funny when you're talking about business.

I run a servo and Turkish Delight is our 2nd highest selling chocolate bar, with only Twirl beating it (and not by alot) over a decade period.

          It's also absolutely delicious.

      • +2

Turkish Delight is the only reason to buy this!

      • Partly agree. If I am eating one, its great but if I'm eating the 1.56kg, not so much.

You nong. That's the more reason to get it then.

      • +2

nah im not a fan of turkish delight too, this goes to the bin lol

    • Haha ours always has lots of Boost bars

Solid Friday night at home, wondering where it all went wrong

  • +17

Think they're going to have to rebrand them to sweets, no chocolate left in them all oils and vanilla flavouring

    • +3

At least there is still (supposed to be) a glass and a half of full cream dairy milk in every 200g block /s

We know that's just marketing guff and not really true either.

      But interesting point.

There is actually a legal definition of what can be called chocolate.

"It is prepared from a minimum of 20% cocoa solids.

It contains no more than 5% of edible oils, other than cocoa butter or dairy fats."

      • +6

Which is why you see choc or choco, etc. on tons of stuff now, its not legally chocolate.

Same with ice cream legal minimum cream.

A Drumstick is now iced confection with choc topping.

        • Chocolate flavoured isn't quite as deceptive.

      • +2

        180g block now haha

        • +2

Read the fine print. Still pushing the 200g block.

Need to buy 180g block and a bit of another one.

      How dare U sir

I could eat the whole box in a single evening. I might have an eating disorder..

  • Thank you, perfect gift to say sorry for stealing someone else's Easter chocolate from the fridge.

    • Did you get caught, dobbed in or did you confess?

      • +1

        Yes

      • +2

I had no choice but to confess due to an insufficient number of scapegoats in the house during the window of opportunity. I could have blamed it on the dog but then that would have led to a pointless (and expensive) vet trip. And I can't lie well enough to blame ghosts or teleporters.

        • No youth crime in your area? Burglars? Possums? Reminding the owner that "you ate those when watching tv the other night, remember?".

Haha - good for you though, sometimes you just have to take the loss cos when you're in need of snacks, you've just gotta snack.

  • if not for Turkish Delight id be all over it

    • +1

Turkish Delight is the best one. It's Crunchie that spoils this box…

      • How is this even a thing? They are all good. Are we all children who don't eat certain things because our taste buds haven't developed, eat the dam chocolate and stop complaining!

  • Love Turkish delights. Why so much hate?

  • +1

Looks to be sold out now. Thanks a lot you fatties.

  • +1

its sold out, some fatass ozbargainer bought all of them

2/3 of Aussies are overweight this doesn't narrow it down much

    • +1

      I think that's generous… 3/4 at least.
