I have a Solis inverter and it's trash. The software is garbage (no one can figure out why the webpage doesn't work). The inverter is HUGE and runs INCREDIBLY hot. It also throws errors for a few hours every month.

I should have spent the extra $500 or whatever it was for a better product. Would keep clear of their products. Cheap but seem poorly engineered.

    • Have you done any further research? What is a better product?

    • Alright. Sounds annoying. Did you find support from Solis or your installer?

  • +8

10kwh inverter is the minimum I would get for a 50kw battery system.

    • Smart choice. If we don't have high-power equipment like electric vehicle charging stations or pool pumps, 8kW should be sufficient for basic needs. Of course, you can choose a system of 10kW or higher based on your specific requirements.

  • Do you do solar as well? What would a 13kw solar cost?

    • The solar panels have been sold out, we do not install solar currently.

  • I need panels. Would be happy with 6.6 kW.
    I am in Sydney metro.

    • The solar panels have been sold out, we do not install solar currently.

That has been the case for a while now across the industry. No one wants to install them since the margins are better on batteries.

        • Solar panels are also in short supply.

        • Huh? You can't just install a battery you'd need solar too to qualify for the federal gov cheaper battery price

          • @eddyah: Rebate would still be valid if the customer has an existing solar setup and are just adding the battery.

            • @WazzaP: I'm addressing this false statement:

No one wants to install them since the margins are better on batteries.

There would be plenty of customers that want a battery but also need to purchase solar as well to qualify for the rebate so to say installers are simply not ordering solar panels is false.

  • I wonder what all these vendors are going to do with these completely outsized batteries after 30 April.

    • It's 4x13kwh batteries. Will still sell individually

    • +1

Reduce the price hopefully. However, most are modular.

    • +1

Batteries are like LEGO building blocks; they can be disassembled into smaller systems.

Go with alpha ess. Long standing in oz and reliable. Happy with mine.
Beware you can't get vpp rebate above 28kwh

    • -1

Yes, only the 28kWh portion of the system is eligible for VPP rebates.

      • +3

No. If your system is bigger, you are completely ineligible

        • Yes, you're right

  • Why not vic?

    • Hi, Zeee. We have AlphaESS for single-phase families in Melbourne-Metro. May I know if you are interested in AlphaESS?

      • Price?

        • $5499 for a 5kW single-phase AlphaESS inverter and 53.2kWh AlphaESS battery(4pcs of 13.3kWh batteries in total)

          • @QH Technology: Should be minimum 10kw inverter

            • @Zeee: Sure, we also have the 10kW inverter solution. (includes two 5kW inverters connected in parallel, which allows them to work together to achieve a combined charge and discharge rate of 10kW)

                • @Zeee: $6,500 for 10kW Alpha inverter solution.
                  Cheers

                  • @QH Technology: What is the exact model of the inverter? Can it force charge and discharge at certain time? What is the max. discharge rates? Thanks

          • @QH Technology: Do you service Gisborne, just outside of Melbourne?

Does that play nicely with an existing 5kw Huawei Solar inverter (with 6kw of panels)?

            • @loksmack: Gisborne is a little far from Melbourne 3000, but we can reach there. If you connect the Alpha battery to a Huawei inverter, there may be compatibility issues. We recommend installing the Alpha battery separately as a new system.

          • @QH Technology: What's the install timeframe looking like in VIC metro? Sneak in before reductions?

            • +1

@Tock: We plan to stop taking orders before April 16-17th

      • How about Sydney?

        • Installation slots in Sydney are also very tight

  • Is that your website? The contact details list the number as Phone: +86 18664768716

    • Yes, it is our website. That phone number is our Chinese office number. You can contact the AU office at +61 0433938189

  • What are options/pricing like for 3 phase with blackout protection?

    • We have FoxESS three-phase options but they have been booked fully several days ago. We will contact you if the FOX three-phase is available.

  • +1

    Any deals for Qld?

    • Sorry, our installation schedule for QLD is full.

  • Can this be fitted to a place that already has a powerwall? If so how would the system work.

    • Hi mate, are there any free spaces left? We recommend installing Solis as a new system, so that it can work separately from your existing system.

  • Better lock in that debate right now

  • What's the price for 53kwh + 10kw three phase inverter?

    • Sorry, Solis does not have 10kW three phase inverter solution

  • Any FoxEss Cq6 with 15kwh inverters available?

    • Hi, our FoxESS CQ6 with 15kWh inverter has been pre-ordered. Not available currently

      • Do you have an eta? Before may 1st?

        • We are not sure. We will let you know if we have any updates.

  • Looking in VIC for 3 phase, any deal available please

    • You've likely left it way too late now, most installers would be completely booked in VIC before rebates drop off a cliff for large batteries at end of this month. My neighbour called over 20 companies in mid March, none could book him in for any battery system under $10K.

    • We only have single-phase inverter + 3-phase smart meter currently. Thank you.

      • Any slots left for NSW?

        • Yes, but there are only a few slots left. May I know if your house is single-phase or three-phase?

          • @QH Technology: Single phase

            • @Jaff: Hi, Jaff. Please call or WhatsApp this number: 0433 938 189. Our sales team will follow up on your inquiry soon

  • We can do a FREE inspection if you are a single-phase family with solar panels installed in Sydney(within 30km from Sydney CBD Postcode 2000)
Only a few slots left! Don't miss out!
