[iOS] RuneScape 12 Months Membership TRY₺2599 (~A$82.36) @ Apple Türkiye via Turgame Gift Card

370

Updated RuneScape membership pricing. ALL regions have been price jacked, though Turkey remains the cheapest. Even grandfathered members are getting the price increase.

Membership must be inactive / expired FIRST

Follow the onscreen steps. In the mobile number section use your Australian mobile number (Very important to use a valid number or risk losing your ID). Choose country as Turkey. Then follow through the rest to create your ID. Login into Apple ID on a browser. Go to this(appleid.apple.com) link to enter a Turkish address to your Turkish Apple ID, select payment method as none and save.

  • Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad > Your Name > Media and Purchases > Log out from your current ID and login with your Turkish Apple ID
  • Buy TL iTunes gift cards from TurGame(turgame.com) > Choose currency as TL/TRY and pay with international transaction fee free card.
  • Redeem iTunes gift cards(apple.co) by going to App Store > Account (located at right top corner) > Redeem gift cards or code
  • Download RuneScape and login on your iPhone or iPad
  • On the lobby screen select to subscribe (top right corner, requires inactive membership)
  • Select the 12 month option (best value)

p.s bond and key prices suck in TRY, only membership is a bargain.

It's $185.88 AUD now in Australia, so still a decent $100 discount for those who are going to keep renewing.

    Buying gf.

Tinder is also discounted using this method

      • +1

        Same with Grindr :D

      • +1

Actually met my girlfriend this way. 10 months in and going strong. And yes I have told her the only reason we matched was i was getting 80% off Tinder black or whatever it was 😂

        • Tinder platinum I assume

It’s even more than 80% from memory

  • -3

    people play runescape?

    • +10

There are currently 89,238 people playing

      • -3

not dogging it just didnt know people played it

        • +1

It's going pretty strong the past few years. A lot of people are currently unhappy as membership prices have more than doubled in the last 2 years, but they also hit a all time high concurrent player high of over 200k people playing at once so yea its doing ok right now

      • -4

        Is that it…

        • +1

That's 4x the numbers of people playing Marathon on PC right now.

    • Yes, is there a problem?

      • -1

        no problems just questions

    • +1

Pretty sure it peaked at like 200k players recently (actively playing).

      You sound fun though.

    • -1

15 Years of Runescape. Rich nerds apparently.

    • -3

      Yeah crazy to me too.

I played 20 years ago as a teen. Can't imagine still playing it as the depth was pretty shallow.

      • +3

Oh boy, shallow?? If anything it’s getting too deep these days having sidegrades and niche items for every little thing you wanna do.

      • +3

It (and the old school version) have had weekly updates for the last 20 years, so the depth is gigantic

      • It's anything but shallow.

  • +4

Holy (profanity), how much is this game normally, I thought it was free?!?!

    • They just did a massive price increase and the community is in uproar.

I don't really understand why people pay though. You can buy a bond for 14M (approx) in game currency, and its not really hard to get that amount of money in loot drops / playing the game / merchanting (buying/selling for profit) etc. If you were a higher level player your bank should be increasing by 30-50M monthly if you're actively playing a lot and doing some PVM.

      • 14m? I thought bond's were 100m+ which for mid high level member account is not much but earning that on f2p is a massive drag

        • +2

That's the price in RS3. 14m is old school.

      • +2

To be fair, it takes me like 20-30 minutes to make the $21 AUD for 1 month membership by working, instead of the multiple hours playing. I don't want my games to be a chore - if your bank grows by 30-50m and you buy 2 bonds for 28m, you really haven't made much progress ya know

        • +1

Agreed, It's much more efficient to work in real life and fund your membership, rather than working 10-20x as hard in-game.

        • I can do it both ways. A month of membership is like, 3 minutes of flipping every 2 days for a month. So if I'm already playing rs, it's not that big of a deal to flip for a bond either.

And like you said, it's like half an hour of work in real life.

      • I mean, bond price will keep increasing as membership price keeps increasing.

      • 1) Not everyone is endgame. Pre-endgame, you're wanting to spend all your money on buyable skills + gear upgrades. Plus you earn way less gp/hr.
        2) Flipping/merching can be lucrative but its dependant on a bunch of gated knowledge you need to learn + if everyone "just went and flipped for 5 minutes", then flipping wouldn't be as lucrative as it is. So it wouldn't be possible for everyone to merch even if they did want to sink the time/effort to learn it.
        3) If you have an iron you're forced to play your main and make enough gp to upkeep 2 accounts. If you don't have a main, you literally cannot play except for buying a sub.

    • Membership is paid, they increased it to $180 Australian

      • +1

Hooley dooley! I all of a sudden feel less bad about probably spending a good hundred or so over nearly a decade of playing Fortnite.

        • +1

It use to be like $5/mo, they’ve upped it about 6 times now

  • +1

    🦀 🦀 🦀

  • does this work for OSRS? I thought that things like this could lead to an account ban?

    • +2

I've been on a turkish sub the last year on OSRS and haven't had any issues yet. Obviously only 1 datapoint

    • It's 1 membership for both games. However you can't be logged into both games at the same time.

    • Yes, someone on past thread said you can subscribe on both OSRS and RS3 for two accounts on one Apple account

  • +3

    Red:Wave: Dancing for GP

    • +1

      Dancing for lower membership prices

  • TIL Turkey officially changed it's name to Türkiye.

    • +1

Mods change it to that, it’s the way it’s spelt in their language

    • They've gone by that for well over a century, but internationally really made a push to be referred to as such since all the Russian stuff 4 or 5 years ago.

  • Any options for cheaper membership without an ios device? Keen to give OSRS another crack but the current pricing is outrageous

    • You can attempt with a Turkish vpn, but I would be willing to bet it’s locked to Turkish card BIN numbers

Edit: Indian rupee on steam is $100, I believe this is difficult to access though from memory. Steam cracks down on region hacks

  • No android?

    • +1

Much harder to get a Turkish Google account, near impossible. It auto reverts back to your country as soon as it sees any sign of being in another location.

  • i thought this didnt work because of bin number verification? not sure how it works but will probs give this a shot

    • +1

iOS gets around BIN number via gift cards (from Turgame or elsewhere, turgame is cheapest though usually)

You use a Turkey iOS account with no card, just giftcards from Turgame (turkish giftcards).

      • ahhh righteo got it mixed up from the other deal

  • Tried this a minute ago and had no luck, iTunes loaded with TRY2600, go through to purchase and it just comes up with an error saying purchase could not be completed. Tried on both RS and OSRS for same error

    • Did you buy gift cards from turgame to cover it? Card payments won't work

      • Yeah I bought a 2000 and 600 one for $85 (paid in USD by accident) via your instructions, but once I put my password in for the transaction it just errors

        • What error? Still works for me currently

          • @Dyl: I pick the 12 months, put in my password, get the little tick and Done, then it spins for a little bit and pops up with "Your purchase could not be completed, contact support etc". Then once it denies me there, all the membership options disappear and I have to re-open the app to try again. I really dunno what I've done wrong, but it's been doing my head in lol

            • +1

@penref: Just tried it and it worked, maybe it was timed given I'd just made the Apple ID today, but all good now

              • @penref: Did you just need to wait a couple hours?

                • @superdoedoe: Yeah pretty much, prob around 6 hours or more, remember creating it in the evening then randomly trying it at 2am and it worked despite earlier errors

                  • @penref: I'm having the same issues - it's been about 16 hours now and it's still throwing the same error as you were having.

                    • +1

@superdoedoe: Got it to work. Had to log back in my account/first part and update billing to match shipping i think. Worked straight after doing that.

  • Just in time for Leagues, eh?

  • this will remove grandfathered prices if you do this, probably not worth it in the long term if you do this for some.

    • +1

They’ve removed it from existing iOS subscriptions already

      • rip

  • -1

    Will this get you banned?

  • +1

Damn prices have seriously risen i bought indian membership last year and it has been like 2 months since ive last logged on… might be time to get back in and get my monies worth…

    • League's is starting next week! No better way to get your money's worth imo 😎

      • Never done leagues tbh, just logged in to see my character at the karambwan fishing spot… so back to afk fishing lol

        • You should give it a crack! Nothing to lose 😏 I hadn't either until I played one a couple years ago.. now I look forward to it every year

          • -1

@Benjamin7711: Honestly don’t get the leagues hype. I feel it’s only popular because all the casuals can use it to experience high level content and blast through it easily.

  • Any apple simulators to achieve this if you don't have an iOS device?

    • +1

Not that I'm aware of sadly.

Google is also not really an option - it's hard to find giftcards and near impossible to hack your region.

Edit: apparently it's possible using a macOS ISO booted in a virtual machine, haven't tested though. It allows you to run iOS apps on Macs, but I'm unsure if this means you can do in app purchases.
