Telstra $350 Prepaid SIM Starter Kit 365 Days + $35 Costco Shop Card for $299.99
It was $269.99 until even last month, but at an effective cost of $24.99 pm for 25gb, seems worth it compared to boost.

tomorrow the boost $300 sim + $30 costco shop card deals finishes. for $219.99 save $30
this is the standard price at costco. you could have gotten it last month or so at the sale price. which is around $30 cheaper
How does Telstra prepaid network coverage stack up compared to Boost pre-paid?
Some people in the country say Telstra is better then Boost
I've written it before and I'll write it again… the network coverage is the same but the data priority appears to be throttled during peak demand periods.
These peak periods are volume-based and not time-based; meaning if you're on a packed train or in an packed area with a mix of Telstra Postpaid / Telstra Prepaid / Boost, and the data demands are at peak capacity, then priority will be given to Telstra Postpaid first, then Telstra Prepaid then Boost. So, be prepared to accept pauses or slow response times when around a lot of people, for both Telstra Prepaid and Boost.
many years ago, i found using a vpn seemed to increase your priority (they assume you're using it for work).
I find with my telstra prepaid this can be an issue at places like airports, sports and large concert events. Lately I've found if I flick my phone to the 4g network, response time goes back to normal.
Thanks for explaining it a layman's language. Makes sense. Otherwise everyone will opt for pre-paid option.
"Price increases from $350 to $395 and data inclusions change from 5 May 2026"

Just linked that in case anyone was looking at getting this at some point, it's a good buy now to lock in the discounted price.
At this rate they will sell the year prepaid for $1000 in a few years.
What about the Boost? Are they increasing their prices as well?
telstra now own boost so it's very likely. The plan originally started out at $150 with less data
Its worth noting the increased price will also come with increased data
I just purchased Boost sim 300GB $300 for $225 at woollies using everyday extra discount
Just take it consideration that it is not recharge, it is starter-kit with 365 days. So, it will painful process for existing Telstra prepaid user to go another network and comeback again to use it this credit. Getting out off Telstra Network is easy but returning is painful.
Can anyone confirm whether this deal is actually limited to ACT only?
Confirmed also in QLD stores
Confirmed also in VIC stores
Anything in other states?
