  • Picked up a set last week, decent value.

Note that it’s a kit that used to have a machete but has been opened and had the machete removed. Bit confusing at first …

    • Yes I can see the machete picture in the box. I understand now that machete has been banned. Probably why they're heavily discounted. Still a pretty awesome value.

      • Just as well the wrong type of person couldn't inflict as much damage on society with that axe, or that knife, or that rope.

        • the wrong type of person

They could inflict far more damage to society with WORDS and their stupidity alone. Dont trust me ?Looks at the parliaments

      • Yeah agree - no doubt on clearance due to the need to remove the machete.

      • I think they've only been banned in Victoria. They are certainly legal to own in WA but I don't think you can buy them anymore.

A stupid idea to ban them anyway. They are great tools for brush clearing. So Victoria has banned the weapon but refuses to sort out the c***s who are using them as offensive weapons - all in the name of embracing, err, diversity

        • Got a referral code for SkyNews perchance?

          • @Big L: No. I don't got no Foxtel.

            4Chan on the other hand…….

        • Give it time…. They cant help themselves.

          Oh bugga.
Machete-wielding African gang attacks boy, 17, at Perth house party

          • @DMFD: 'African gangs'

            A great import.

            Diversity is strength……

        • sigh

*Machetes are classified as prohibited weapons, making it illegal to own, carry, or sell them without a specific exemption or police approval. *

If you're a farmer for example, they are still perfectly legal, provided you are using them for their actual purpose.

          • @SupeNintendoChalmers: I've got 2 in my shed - bought at Bunnings, perfectly legally.

I certainly won't be taking them off of my property but I do use them amd won't be getting rid of them.

  • No stock around Central Coast NSW unfortunately but looks like a good deal for $20!

    • No stock around Central Coast NSW unfortunately

All stock is reserved for Victoria.

      • more likely Victorian stores shows stock, but there's none actually there.

      • With all the machetes off the streets, teens need all the stock of axes they can get their hands on instead.

    • Same in SA

  • "Can also be handy as an extra piece of protection when out in the wilderness"

Protection against what? Drop Bears? They'll get you well before you have a chance to swing an axe.

    • Perhaps the knife could come handy in close range combat with drop bears!

    • Never bring a knife to a snake fight.

  • Limited stock around, missed out on closest to me so now have to go to Morayfield, lol. Ah well, worth it I think.

  • better get it quickly before they ban the axe and knife

    • And the rope while they're it.

      • The SovCits will take the rope first and use it on them.

    • I read the axe and the wife, somewhat

  • I need this for the car and home for protection against youth crime. Or perhaps we just need the parents to actually be parents and reign their deadbeat kids in

    • How dare you suggest that parents do anything. Remember, it's all society's fault!

    • we live in australia self defence will end you up in jail while the youth just walk out

      • It's better to be judged by twelve than to be carried by six

  • Should be called the Home invasion / Car Jacking kit

  • melbourne starter pack

    • Extra 10% off if you use the code JACINTA10

  • OOS

  • Eshay starter kit.

  • Protection in the wilderness? Is that a new name for Victoria?

  • How many of these will end up in the Jacinta scam bins? 🤔

    • Scam? Those are a bagain at $13m compared to the $390m/year for the container deposit scheme.

      • Couldn’t we have paid a bunch more people to sort the stuff out instead?

      • $390m/year for the container deposit scheme.

Is this including the wasted productive time, road congestion, and fuel used to get to said bins, or just the facilities and processing?

    • Scam? Those are bargain compared to the $500+ millions wasted on the Commonwealth games

  • replace the axe with a machete

    • Victoria will have axe bins soon

  • i know what you did last summer :)

  • Morayfield, Kawana Waters (QLD) have stock

  • Nothing available in Sydney?

    • its because this shit is still legal in sydney

the local guys have all graduated to 9mm and 7.62 x 39

  • The real reason machetes have been removed is that they've been stolen by the riff raff in Melbourne

  • Tbh I wouldn't even pay 20 for this

    • why is that? quality not good?

      • Looks pretty low qual to me. Some stamped knife/axe with paracord as a handle feels pretty bad in the hand. Metal quality would be bottom tier. The carabiners look like 20 cent toys. The flint sparky thing I do like.

        • You sound like your $20 is so big. Try go to any shop and pick up the same items.

      • Bought the set 3 years ago, quality is good. Not sure what the axe is good for though, tbh only ever used the knife and the Ma.Ch.EtE

  • Should he good for my Arakkis trip

    • Missing the mask that converts sweats to ?water?

  • Good enough for a spree?

    • Take it to your next family reunion and let us know

  • Illegal in Victoria

    • Not surprised

      • tbf this looks like a gold coast slash victoria gangs starter pack

  • Thanks OP, picked up one set heading to Mt Druit

  • All sold out in Mt Druitt, not sure why.

    • Residents will soon find out. Stand by.

      • "give me ya shoes dere brah!" /Brandishing $20 ozbargain deal

  • 26cm axe? mildly more useful than a karate chop.

    • A well trained karate martial artist can take a life with a chop. Luckily, you don’t need to train that long with a 26cm axe.

    • Chuck Norris has entered the chat.

  • Spanian bought these up for his freedom giveaways

    • Onlythugs

  • Add a ski mask and itll be a beginner kit for under 18s these days.
