Hey all, not sure if I've done this right but Blue Prince seems to be on ATL if I've figured out how to read things right. It's a 2025 puzzle roguelite game and is easily one of my top games of recent times. The premise is your rich uncle died and left you his entire estate, but to inherit you need to make your way through his old manor to reach the 46th room, which is a problem because his manor famously has only 45 rooms. You need to explore the estate and figure out clues and puzzles that will help you get to room 46. However, the manor is like Hogwarts, because each day when you're done exploring, the layout and room locations change. You need to figure out the secrets of the manor to inherit, with most rooms having some kind of puzzle or clue that will help you on your journey. But only once you start to put them together can you figure out how to earn your inheritance, though there's many, many secrets along the way. I's an absolutely amazing puzzle game where things are actually a puzzle, rather than some games where it has a pinpad with a sticky note attached to it with the code you need to enter! Highly recommend if you haven't played already, just make sure you have a notepad with you and take lots of notes, as you never know when something small in one room might end up solving a secret in another.

It's normally $43.95 on Steam, down to $29. Though if you own Inscryption or Call of the Sea, I think you can get this Inscryption bundle or this Call of the Sea bundle to get Blue Prince for an additional 10% off at $26.10. Similarly if you own Myst, this bundle has an extra 15% off, which is theoretically $24.65 (though I don't own Myst so take it with a grain of salt)

It's also on sale on the PS store - normally $44.95 down to $29.66, though sale ends 23/4/2026 08:59 am AEST

Lastly on the Xbox store - I don't have an Xbox and can't figure out how to make it show in AUD, but it's listed as $19.49USD online. Also has sale "ends in 2 days", but I can't see exactly when

"Welcome to Mt. Holly, the mysterious manor with shifting rooms. In Blue Prince, you embark on a genre-defying experience, filled with a unique mix of mystery, strategy, and puzzles that weave together to create an unpredictable journey. Will your explorative steps lead you to the rumored Room 46?

DRAFTING YOUR JOURNEY
Upon reaching a closed door in Mt. Holly, you decide what room appears behind it and each decision shapes your path as you navigate through the manor. Every door can reveal new and exciting chambers that contain their own unique challenges and secrets. But be careful how you draft, for each day the manor’s floor plan resets and the rooms you saw today may not be the same rooms you see tomorrow.

EVERY STEP COUNTS
Your progress each day is shaped by the rooms you select to draft and the tools you find within them. Items in the game can be used in a number of creative ways to fuel your exploration deeper into the house, allowing you to adopt unique strategies to combat the challenges that each day brings. Yet, tread wisely – the house resets each dawn, erasing all but the permanent upgrades to your estate blueprint. That is, if you were clever enough to find one!

A HISTORY IN THE MAKING
As the heir of Mt. Holly, you have been tasked to explore its shifting halls in search of Room 46. Yet as your journey takes you further into the mansion’s depths, you start to discover that there is more lurking under the surface than a missing room. Investigate a past woven with the threads of blackmail, political intrigue, and the mysterious disappearance of a local children’s book author. The deeper you venture, the more you realize that the past is closer than it appears."

Played this on the weekend. It's fun but gets repetitive quite quickly.

    • Yeah, the early game can definitely be a little repetitive when you're still learning and trying to figure out everything, but once you start getting into it, it really opens up. That said, it's still a roguelite at the end of the day, so there'll always be some repetitive parts, but just depends how you feel about them as a genre. For me it was kind of like Hades 1/2 - early game you're at the whims of the game and rng, but as you keep unlocking things and figuring out more about it, you end up with more options as you keep playing

Oh totally understand! I've played Returnal and platinum'd it.

With Blue Prince, I felt so much more confident when I was figuring out the different rooms. The puzzles were interesting and discovering new rooms was great. But still felt like it wasn't gripping me.

Ah that's fair! Yeah, it's definitely quite unique and definitely not everyone's taste, but at least you gave it a good shot!

It is $25.03 for a steam key via GamesPlanet US

Played this with the kids on Gamepass. Solid puzzler. At $30, if it's a game you gel with there's a lot of hours of game to play

    • Yeah, I bought this last year on PS5 not on sale, and it's just so much content that even at full price I'd say it's a great deal if it's your type of game. I only got to the "main" ending but had a look at how much deeper it goes with some of the stuff and it's just absolutely insane!

Yeah, I did the same. Got to the "initial" ending with the kids and almost went "oh, that's it?".
Then there's another day… and a deeper story. I really wanted to finish finding all the envelopes and see how deep the game goes. Just haven't found the time to go back to it and see how deep it goes

        • Yeah, it goes very, very, very deep if you want to go that far. Good luck with however far you do go, since some of it gets very crazy from what I've heard!

Same here. Getting to the "end" kinda felt the end of season one. I'll go back and continue solving all the puzzles I've started eventually…and hopefully remember how it all works haha

This is such an excellent puzzle game that has no respect for your time.

I ended up installing mods for free steps/keys etc as well as faster walking, so I could at least push through the slog to try and reach all the endings - it's such a rich and immersive story that most people simply won't ever experience because it would otherwise take months of your time to discover (and I was still north of 30 hours even with cheating gameplay).
