        Already got a second ipad

        • What about a third ipad

  • Walked into Officeworks West Gosford a fortnight ago and they had 256gb Wifi 13inch ipad pro (last one) for $1199 on clearance. Negotiated with Manager for $999.

Pairs well with my 11inch m1 ipad pro 512gb!

    • how so?

    • I have never heard Officeworks price down with manager negotiation, unless there was a price beat.
      Receipt or it never happened

      • You have to sweet talk and haggle. This is not the first time I have haggled. A few months ago I got a Pixima printer/scanner which was a superseded model with over $500 rrp for $100 - again last clearance item. Great for printing little ones homework.

Tbh, took me 25mins and three walk aways. I am quite shameless. If I can haggle for 25mins and save $200, I am in. I started with $800 which he didn't entertain, then $900 and finally said a $1 under $1K on my third try. I think he wanted to get rid of me at 8.30pm.

It is not an M5. Also, they had it marked as $1199 Clearance from $1597 (which is currently 13inch M4 Air price). I think the original price was wrong anyway.

As mentioned below, was an open box.

        • Thanks, where do I find these open boxes in Officeworks though?

@doodlejones: I live in Sydney and work in Central Coast a few days a week.

I take a break during my long drive home. On my off day from gym, I use this time for a walk to the closest Officeworks, Harvey Norman or Good Guys to stretch my legs - where I haggle for fun to break up my long drive! (Reading back, this sounds pretty sad haha)

Most times you dont win, but sometimes you do. Check out clearance labels (yelllow ones in Officeworks) and get haggling. Good luck.

    • Ex-display?

      • +1

Was an open box but apparently not ex-display. Checked the receipt, it says Price Override, Open Box. Might have been a return. Battery Cycle Count was 0 and warranty started when I logged in.

I am doing post grad studies. This would suit me well for the next two years as I found note taking was hard on 11inch when I am watching recorded lectures in PIP mode using VLC app.

  • Do you still pay for the iCloud after 2TB? Yes for backing up.

  • +1

Surprised this deal isn’t more popular; bought a 2TB IPad Pro in 2023 for approximately $2200 off this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/752376 and now, you can get this updated version for $170 less.

  • Great value I think. In 2021 I lucked out on an iPad Pro 13" M1 Cellular 1TB for about $1,600. Was a bargain at the time and it's a great device. This looks very nice.

  • was able to get it down to $1990.
