Vodafone: 30% Cashback on 200GB 12-Month Prepaid Plus Starter Pack SIM for $169 (Was $250) @ TopCashback AU

790

Great price at $118.30 (after $50.70 cashback) for Vodafone $250 200GB 12-Month SIM discounted to $169. Offer expires on 12th May 2026 11:00pm AEST (unless Vodafone changes or cancels it early). I checked with TA.

  • Uncapped speeds.
  • 5G Network.
  • International texts.

My Tips:

  • If you're an existing Vodafone customer, you would have to port out into another provider and then port back into Vodafone.
  • Cashback is for one SIM card per transaction/order. If you require more than one SIM, please order each SIM separately. Click the TopCashback pink button again to Vodafone website for each SIM to get separate cashback tracking.

For better tracking, use the TopCashback app, click the 'Get Cashback' pink button to the Vodafone website (not Vodafone app), use mobile data (not Wi-Fi) and Chrome browser.

TA's Tracking Tips:

  • Prior to using TopCashback, disable/remove all 3rd party plugins (AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, DNS AdGuard, Honey, etc), VPNs, avoid browsers such as Brave, close additional browser tabs, and don't click away to other sites after clicking from TopCashbackAU as tracking will be lost.
  • For iOS device: Apart from ensuring you’re not using an AdBlock app for Safari, the most important one is to ensure you have ‘Prevent Cross-Site Tracking’ turned off (see here).

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • All SIMs must be activated within 30 days of purchase. Postpaid Plans with Handset & SIM-Only plans must remain active for at least 90 days after activation to be eligible for cashback. No retention period is required for pre-paid SIMs after activation.
  • Cashback is ineligible on any unlisted plans, business plans, business or corporate accounts, recharges, upgrade services, additional postpaid plans, add-ons, mobile broadband, prepaid handsets, and tablets.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any coupon codes not advertised on our platform.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards, vouchers, or store credit for partial or full payment. Cashback is also ineligible on purchase of gift cards.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • For prepaid plans, cashback is calculated as a percentage of the purchase price unless a dollar amount is advertised.
  • Cashback is paid once per transaction, regardless of the number of plans purchased on that order.
  • Engaging with plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole, VPNs, DNS AdGuard, and browsers such as Brave may prevent your order from tracking.
  • Accept and allow all 3rd party cookies on the retailer's page if requested.
  • Return to TopCashback to click the 'Get Cashback' button for each new transaction.
  • Transactions must be completed solely & wholly online and must not be assisted or negotiated via phone/chat/email. Failure to do so will cause tracking to fail and/or have cashback declined.

Got this twice with SB Cashback. Which pays out quickly and is cheap, my only beef with it is both times had to call Voda call centre to port. The online process fails (I think it said the card isn't active.). Bit frustrating and takes over 30 mins. But its a once off and fine after its done.

I am having a really bad experience with vodafone sim porting. Bought an esim and when i try to port my existing number it fails and asks to contact support. When I contact the support it asks me to go to a store. I regret my decision!

      • +1

I’m in the same boat. I encountered an error while porting my existing number so I contacted support. They advised me to activate a new SIM and then port the number by filling out a form shared in chat. I submitted the form on the weekend. Since porting is only available on weekdays I received a porting SMS today and within half an hour my SIM was transferred to Vodafone.

        • Is that an esim or a physical one. I bought an esim and trying to transfer from lebara to voda.
They also shared a form with me as well on chat, which asked my contact details and mentioned will be contacting me in 2-3 business days. Then i call the support as well and the guy on the phone said dont keep much hopes on that phone and probably i have to go to a store

          • @Techefy: It was a physcal sim.

            • @aghafoorkj: Ah that could be it, because to me, with the esim, they thoroughly said I have to visit a store

          • @Techefy: I had to go in store.

      • Exactly my experience

        • +1

          So frustrating nah?
Did they gave you a new physical sim (instead the originally purchased esim?)
Now the next nightmare Im expecting is cashback not getting accepted due to this.
What do you think? Is it going to be an issue as what they activated is not what we originally purchased?

          • @Techefy: Yes they said the only way is to get physical sim and then I can convert back to esim myself.

            • @spy: What do you think will happen to cashback?

  • This or the 900g deal that was posted here recently?

    • +3

I thought that was $199 so using math it's not the same price. Also no 5G if that matters to you.

  • Unsure how long this cashback deal goes for, but from Vodafone website SIM deal "Ends 12/05(unless extended). T&C apply."

    • TopCashback offer expires on 12th May 2026 11:00pm AEST (unless Vodafone changes or cancels it early). I checked with TA.

      • Does that mean I can buy it now and activate it after 12 May?

        • +2

You can and please activate within 30 days of purchase as per term.

All SIMs must be activated within 30 days of purchase.

  • @trixieb @tightarse, I ordered 2 separate packs within last week, none of those have been tracked. Did everything right, used app, mobile network, no ad blockers.

Now i have to go through dreadful process of missing cashback claim which will take months.

    • Sorry to hear. Do you mean the previous offer for 300GB plan? This cashback offer is for the 200GB plan which wasn't upsized last week.

Please submit the missing cashback claim here. Cashback for tracked orders is paid in several months. It would be a similar time frame for a missing cashback claim.

From my experience with missing cashback claims, TopCashback does not add the tracking manually. You won't see it in your "Earnings" page initially. After the claim is paid, then you will see the transaction in your account.

You will get an automated email when you lodge the claim that states to wait several months. There is usually no response or communication while waiting for the claim to be approved. TopCashback will contact you if they need more info.

      • You can check on the progress of your claim or add further info here.

      • If you have any enquiries, please contact TopCashback support in this link.

      All the best.

      • Not sure if i signed up from this deal but yes last time i did buy this it was not tracked, so i had to contact support and its been almost two months and nothing happened. The status just stated "pending on store to confirm" or something like that

    • +1

Same with me. Didn't track, and now it's been 3 weeks of "Waiting for retailer

      • @countmein @stralya That's normal for missing cashback claims as explained in my comment above: Nothing more for you to do except to wait several months until the cashback is paid.

      • Have you got the cashback? Mine didn’t track either, submitted claim and has been sitting with the retailer…

Can this receive SMS when you are in overseas without purchasing a roaming pack?

    • Exactly wanted to ask this too. I'm going overseas for a few months soon. I know Boost / Telstra you could still recieve SMS without purchasing roaming.

    • +2

Yes, I've used Vodafone for this previously

      • Want to ask the same overseas SMS, also can Vodafone do SMS to voice translate like Boost? Is Voda better than Optus now? Coles mobile have a lot of issue with indoor mall.

    • -8

It depends. If the sender is using Apple iMessage, then the answer is 'no' (without roaming). But if the sender is using an online App like Whatsap, Viber, etc AND you have access to a wifi overseas, then the answer is 'yes'.

      • +4

You dont even need a sim to receive Whatsap, Viber, etc, they are not called sms

        • Typical gen z can't tell the difference between whatsapp and sms.

  • +1

Can you use this to renew an existing plan

    • No, port out and back in.

    • +1

You can use a $2 Telstra SIM to port out and back into Vodafone.

      In the post description:

      • If you're an existing Vodafone customer, you would have to port out into another provider and then port back into Vodafone.

      • Cashback is ineligible on any unlisted plans, business plans, business or corporate accounts, recharges,

  • +2

I had the same deal last time from TopCash during xmas time last year. The cashback took four months to get approved. still waiting for my cashback.

    • +1

Yeah, an Amaysim purchase took about 4 months for me and 6 months for Superloop. The timeframes are horrendous.

      • I haven't bought Vodafone but have purchased several Boost 28-day plans with TopCashback. Boost is faster to pay in about 3 months. The payment time depends on the retailer. NBN companies take a longer time to pay e.g. Superloop you mentioned.

  • +6

I bought this at the end of March. After 2 weeks of not getting my sim or an update, I called Vodafone. Turns out they took my money but cancelled my order "with no reason listed." Absolute clown show.

    • Thats BS. If the order is cancelled then you wont get the cashback

      • Yeah I was kinda pissed. Not sure if I wanna try again with these guys.

    • +2

Yes, the same thing happened. Terrible ! I had to call them three times. Had enough with them

  • +3

From experience, TopCashBack takes more than 6 months to even confirm your cashback

  • +1

Had to submit a ticket for missing cashback in the last cb deal. TopCB+Vodafone might not be a good combination.

    • Same. My ticket from last deal is stuck at "With Retailer" still for 3weeks now :(

      • @OrangeBJ @shattered Please see my replies here and here.

        All the best.

I've recently bought two Vodafone eSIMs through ShopBack. Can I just say, when you order, write down your order number. I didn't get any emails, and getting it sorted without the order number has been an ordeal. Alos, the port didn't work on one of the SIMs, and that has also been difficult to sort out. I'm sure that's not everyone's experience.

    • Where did you port from?

  • Can you get cashback for ordering an eSIM or does it have to be a physical SIM?

    • +1

eSIM is eligible for cashback as per several comments in previous TopCashback posts.

      • Cheers! There shouldn't be an issue if you get a SIM and later switch to an eSIM, right?

        • +1

          Would be fine.

  • +1

Thanks , got tracked email too.

  • +1

Any issue if I'm porting from Kogan (which uses Vodafone)?

    • +1

Porting from Kogan would be fine as per previous comments.

    • I ported from Kogan in the last deal. Had to go through Vodafone chats/call to get it done because their online form/portal didn't work for some reason.
The process ended up as Sign up with new number -> have both Sims active -> called Vodafone on the new Vodafone number and have it ported -> wait for porting SMS to your old number -> wait for final port to be completed
Make sure you do it on a weekday or their customer support hours.
      It's a pain.

  • Can i port from lebara, which is also on vodafone network? Thx.

    • You can.

      • +2

        Wow thats a quick reply

  • Can you get eSim with this plan?

  • I’m curious why the OnePass Mobile 365-Day Prepaid SIM Plan with 200GB data for $149 consistently receives better votes than this one. Is it because of Optus?

    • +1

Ya Vodafone tend to have shittier receptions and the porting experience is awful (I had to make multiple chat with Vodafone to get it done)
I think also topcashback can fail to track sometime, can be a hassle.

  • +3

Thanks for posting this deal. $169 and then 30% cash back sounds really good. Cheers :)

  • If i buy an esim, does the plan starts right away? Is there a way to delay the package start day to a week or so

    • Plan starts when you activate the esim

      • Thanks, so that means I can buy this now, download the esim and not activate it until I want to activate it? (sorry not so familiar with esims and new packages)

        • +1

You buy this and select esim as the option.. they will send you an email to activate the plan.. once you activate the plan then they will email you the esim QR code

        • conditions in deal at top say
All SIMs must be activated within 30 days of purchase. No retention period is required for pre-paid SIMs after activation.

  • -1

    @trixieb

Is this not the same offer at Shopback? Is this the same deal with just the upped cashback of 30% from the previous activation offer found here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/956312

    https://www.shopback.com.au/vodafone
    All Cashback

    Up to 80% Cashback
    80%

    Upsized
    Ends in 10:20:17

    • $250 Prepaid Plan (discounted to $169) 30%
  • Really bad experience with vodafone sim porting. Bought an esim and when i try to port my existing number it fails and asks to contact support. When I contact the support it asks me to go to a store. I regret my decision!

  • Still waiting for a similar deal to be payable from 1 December 2025, already 2 weeks passed the estimated date. Topcashback just getting slower and slower every month while shopback still much faster.

  • Looks like with ShopBack you have 25% cash back +10% if you pay with Westpac card

  • I bought the prepaid eSIM. Followed their activation email instruction (ported out of Optus), at the end it asked for a payment method so I entered PayPal, thinking that it was in case for recharge in 12 months time. Then found out that Vodafone immediately charged $250 from my Paypal! Did anyone encounter this issue?

  • Anyone deciding between Topcashback or Shopback for this promo atm 9th may sat

    • TopCashback is the best choice at 30% cashback as per the post. ShopBack is only 21% cashback.

      • I had a draft reply that i wrote or something but i didnt hit send so lost erm replying a new one noow.

Anyway thanks for that to confirm as i thought SB maybe had some bonus CB promo with the westpac card but seems wasnt on.

What i also wrote was that notice this one is uncapped 5G + 50 int SMS, no INT call minutes —- so that's new for these prepaid vodafone plan compare to previous deals.
And was gonna ask to confirm,

say i want 2 or 3 sims, place them each seperate transaction. clicking back to TCB site.
I placed one so far (close to a day ago) and it tracked almost instantly within 10 mins of placing that 1st order, out to place two more now (sunday night)

I wonder eta payable to withdraw would be how long ?? (See now on TCB 1st order site showing ETA 20 weeks D: which is like 5-6 months so seems a bit of a wait)

        • Estimated payable is up to 20 weeks. Cashback could be paid sooner than 20 weeks.

This Vodafone plan has similar international inclusions since last year as per my comment in July 2025 comparing the plans.

As you are buying a few SIM cards, they must be activated within 30 days of purchase for cashback.

  • +1

So, tomorrow (12 May before 11pm) is when we have to place order, right? Activation can be after that (as long as it's within 30 days after purchase)?

    • +1

      Yes.

  • How long does it take to get the cash back into your account? 5 months?
