well not so secret now is it!

    • its an ozbargain secret ;)

I thought only Exynos had poor battery management.

      • It runs in the family. Tensor is based on Exynos architecture and up until the 10 was made by samsung.

    • +1

really? Lasts longer than any of the pixels IME

      • +1

        Pixels are just plain horrible.

      • Thats not a good benchmark to compare at first place. Though I moved from S25 to P10PXL and it easily lasts for the day for the same type of use for which my S25 used to die by 5-6pm.

        • I keep seeing reports that the tensor (esp modem on mobile data) is a hot mess for battery. Just about to take this S25 deal since the P10pro is still overpriced and is about hardware matched with the S25 (even though a gen older)

          • @eggcabbage: More like the S24 not the S25.

    • +2

Yeah not sure about this. My S23 is holding up alright. Not amazing battery but it can last a day. My wifes S22 on the other hand has been awful from day 1 battery wise.

      • -4

should have given your wifes better phone than yours.

        • +1

Actually the reason I'm even commenting here is because I'm looking for a new phone for her lmao.

    • -1

Yeah my S25 battery seems to deplete quicker than the S23 I upgraded from.

    • -3

That's because the base S25 is a small phone? You need the Ultra model or at least the Plus if battery is the priority.

      • Small phones doesnt automatically equate to shit batteries - Samsung just blows

    • +2

Maybe something wrong with the hardware or some process corrupt and eating into battery?

Literally in this test, the SOT is just 1 hour less than the ultra - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfeu9zILpVE

More tests showing its better than S24 and S26 - https://youtu.be/ppN0tjkuuvM?si=s2CKm4T7Pq3dfetO&t=453

Another test showing S25 just shy of S25 Ultra by 45 minutes - https://youtu.be/OokSDWkBBQ4?si=uHDtBdCvt_UHFTkF&t=698

No offense but I feel there is no point negging the deal because you use too much or the hardware/software is faulty. Every video shows otherwise.

      • Go for it by all means mate 👍

        • +2

I am not saying I want to buy this and neither have I upvoted this deal. Just saying everybody else is having different experience, maybe your hardware is faulty if its not giving the same backup as the above videos and you need to change under warranty. If its the same as the above video, then its not the phones fault.

          • -1

@[Deactivated]: These test videos are always skewed. My phone was perfectly fine, its just that the normal battery capacity of this phone is so small that it hardly lasts a day.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for those wondering.

  • I'm about to jump on the s25+, is it woth my time to try to get an additional code to try and get more $$ off? Anyone else tried?

    • couple it with shopback 6% upsized cashback

  • +1

Got one of these from BF offer, battery is fine for me, runs 2 days casual use, emails, txt, bit of web and pics.

Its snapdragon elite processor, 4000mAh battery so not a big deal for me, certainly not worth debating about as its smaller and good for those with small hands :)

  • I got a 10% loyalty code from chat, but when stacking with SECRETAPR, it still comes stays at $979.30. It does not stack, it just applies the 10% off first then subtracts that from the SECRETAPR discount. There doesn't seem to be a 5% discount for first time purchase on the Samsung shop app too now. HODL for clearance prices.

    • Some say there is extra 10% off using Samsung pay.
      Did you try that?

      • No extra discount with Samsung Pay. I got up to the point where it wanted me to open the Samsung Pay app and I cancelled the transaction.

        • Thanks. I am also waiting for s25 to drop to around $600.
          In March 2025 s24 was under $700.
I am surprise s25 is still around $1000 by now. Will wait until EOFY.

  • Samsung needs to try harder on these deals.

    Remark: Samsung user

    • Atleast they are trying, google aint doing nothing.

  • Holding out for ATL on S25, this is not it. At this rate I will wait for Graphene OS Moto phones next year.

  • I really thought last year's models would be cheaper by now…

    • well… S26 isn't much of an improvement..
as you can see heaps of people are still holding out for S25.
