Stuck to 6 core and non x CPUs and I'll reckon you'll be sweet.. Basically stay at the 65w tdp area for CPUs. The vrms on these are pretty terrible.
I could see a ryzen 5600 or similar (used probs) , 16gb, this board and an rx 9060 xt 16gb in recent deals as a pretty decent sub 1k budget build! Find a cheap micro atx (jonsbo c6?), stock amd cooler (downdraft probs best for these boards anyway).. Just mind gpu length. Little 'pocket' budget gaming pc! Ha.
Be careful removing any big GPU's from this ones PCIE slot.
The plastic release clip snapped into 2 so easily when i pushed the tab in with a screwdriver.
Unfortunately that's fairly common on almost all motherboards that don't have reinforced clips or other release mechanisms.
I've broken many over the years until they stated enforcing then with metal on mid to higher range boards.. Or with some quick release functions now but some of those come with their own issues!
Does anyone have recommendations for an AM4 ITX board? My ASRock B450M Fatal1ty has breathed its last breath.
