Nothing Phone (3a) 8GB RAM/128GB $398.16 (White/Black), Blue 12G/256GB $488.16 Delivered / C&C @ Optus

190

Nothing Phone (3a) in clearance mode already, pretty good price as outright. Local JB store had no issue with price match, combine with GC with another 10% off.

Pretty good spec/performance on the price mark and clean OS, better go with Blue with 12G RAM and double the storage for only $90 extra.

Nothing Phone (3a) Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3

UPDATE: Many reported JBHIFI wouldn’t match with Optus, so YMMV.

  • wow tempted to replace my backup/spare phone (samsung galaxy note 3 from year 2013 )

    • I don't think that phone will connect anymore with the 3G shutdown. Check here https://www.optus.com.au/support/checkdevice

      • it has 4G

        • +4

They blocked 4G phones too. That's why it was a big deal

          • @SlowCarSlow: wow i didnt know.. and guess what…

Unfortunately, based on the number you entered, the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3 4G LTE device is blocked from accessing the Optus mobile network to comply with Australian legislation for mobile safety requirements. This means it won’t work for calls (including calls to Emergency Services i.e. Triple Zero & ‘112’), texts or data. If you are an existing customer, your service number (phone or service number) will remain active. However, to use your service and stay connected, you’ll need to insert your SIM card into a compatible device. Advice current as of 01/04/2026 and is subject to change.

            omg!!!!!

            • @McMaferMur: Buy a cheap amaysim SIM in it and turn it on, see if you get a deal on a new handset

            • @McMaferMur: Yeah they made everyone safer by disconnecting a bunch of phones… You know because you wouldn't want you phone not to connect…

    welp.. no esim.
    no deal

    • Just missed HIM card few days ago. Hope you can find some deposits from previous purchases.

just buy an esim adapter, why is this comment on every nothing phone post lol

      • +1

thanks i didnt know an esim adapter exists

      • ..and they work the same as an integrated unit?

        • +2

yes work, with added benefit we can move the adapter (therefore, the esim/number) to different phone, but some need application to setup, etc etc
i still prefer the integrated. no way i will be buying phone without esim in 2026 unless you dont plan to travel

      • Because a modern phone shipping without eSIM in 2026 should be noted in every post, even if it's from a design first studio. We know how inconsistent Nothing can be thanks to how they handled NFC.

Has anyone been successful in price matching with jb ,they said they dont price match it with optus

    • Yes

  • Sadly - we do not match optus as they require an active plan

    • I confirmed it doesn't require an active plan, but JB still declined as it requires a "members account".

They said it's the same deal for price matching Telstra's outright prices.

  • +2

They don't price match… Just tried

  • Price matched instore @ JBHIFI Home Cranbourne after several refusals elsewhere including JBHIFI online chat, Officeworks etc. I was determined 😈

    Very happy with phone!
    Thanks OP!
