I recently wanted to get some Japanese study materials that weren't from Amazon.
Found Tabi books, prices were reasonable. $50+ for free post within Oz.
Loved the bookmarks they included.

Currently there is a 5% discount until the end of May.

  • They are mostly Genki / JLPT books which do exist on Amazon. Are you associated with this store, by any chance? If you are, you are required to declare association. See Who is Associated.

    • Not associated at all.

      Just appreciated their service.

      And avoiding Amazon wherever possible!

  • Thanks! I was actually looking for books for that… but… i couldn't see where they are shipping from and how long that would take. Is it a legit store?

    • I was looking at it as well and it seems to be from sydney.

    • From Sydney.

I ordered yesterday and received today.

The packaging was impeccable. Like folded a thousand times.(Not literally)

  • 5%? this is not a bargin at all.

    • Gotta mark it up to mark it down.

      For me, it isn't Amazon.

They seem to be a small business and genuinely trying to help those serious about studying their Nihongoes…

  • You can get these study guides and textbooks from Books Kinokuniya (online or in-store in Syd). They have membership pricing (10% off) and do sales 15-20% off a few times a year.

    • Fair.

  • Alternatively, here is an amazing free resource:
Tae Kim's Guide to Japanese Grammar

which even comes with a fan-created anki (flashcard) deck to help make learning a bit more fun.

  • I’ve been pretty happy with BunPro
