If this was 4k i would have snapped it up instantly for my ps5 pro !

Owned the 28" Odyssey G70A UHD Gaming Monitor looking for a upgrade after 4 years !

Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF 27inch is the one im chasing but it hasn't dropped under 1500 in ages

The PS5 isn’t able to output more than 120Hz, this would be a waste

      • Yeh its more for the oled pop unless theres something better for the pro? The hdr and the blacks suck on the current monitor

If you're after a 27" OLED the Alienware AW2725Q is probably the best value

@FireRunner: Currently using the AW3225QF for the pro with some PC as well. Great monitors the dell.

    • I've been tracking the G8 G81SF as well. I actually grabbed mine for $1,099 from Mwave.com on the 7th of last month, but that price hasn't shown up again since. It might drop back to around $1,099 during EOFY though, so it could be worth keeping an eye on it.

      • Have you been happy with it? Its either the one alienware the guy said above or MSI MPG 272URX are the top 3 choices

        • When I bought mine, I also compared it against the Dell. But Samsung had a $1,099 deal plus 10% ShopBack cashback, so I didn't even hesitate. I'm extremely satisfied with it. But looking at current prices, the Alienware AW2725Q is indeed much cheaper now.

FYI this has a matte coating, I switched to the Legion Pro 32UD-10 from this G60SF and I much prefer the glossy coating on the former. Colours are noticeably more vibrant IMO on the Legion.

And FWIW I never noticed any text fringing on this panel (nor the 32UD-10, for that matter).

Still a heck of a monitor though.

    • The next best option with glossy coating at 1.1k+ are the msi ones.

If you're in a comfortable spot monitor wise, it's probably still worth sitting back waiting for the next iteration of a display like this that's around 720Hz and has their updated screen coating tech.

    • Are you refering to the woled 720hz model? Saw somewhere that there is some manufacturing issues with it.

      • Not any released OLED monitor, just something I expect to see pop up on the roadmap soon.

  • Never had an OLED, is burn-in still an issue?
