no offence to poster, but its 37 days away. why not just post closer to the time? is there something we can do about this promo now or even soon? set a countdown to 37 days from now?

      tap that Reminder bell mate

How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?

    • +1

Start making a shopping list of stuff you can put off buying until later to make sure you hit the target amount?

It is clear uber is trying very hard to retain uberone members by pre-notifying users of this (and other) uberone promotions.

Let's not forget that Uber phased out the service fee reduction on April 8 for existing UberOne members. This (and increased prices) will likey result in users leaving.

    • Why did Uber and Doordash swap Coles and Aldi though, and now Woolworths is on Doordash? Must be all sorts of dealings going on.

      • +1

Pay a premium on all products and service/delivery fee. 25 won’t cover it

  • +12

and still not worth it with the jacked up prices!

    • Agreed. Factoring jacked up prices + service fee + paying with discounted gift cards this is worse than buying directly from Coles with their spend $50 for 4 weeks get 10k points promos.

I reckon this is only really worth about 10 to 12% discount versus advertised instore / online Coles prices.

Looking at $102 worth in the apps and basically comes down to $82.50

Same items in Coles APPs $87.00

Slightly better off but not by a lot and you’d have to be pretty strange to with what you order.

        • +1

Is that including the discounted gift cards? It's a pretty big difference for me, but yes it also depends what you order (Mine wasn't that strange).

          For my order:
          Uber Subtotal: $101.17
Total after fees and promo: $80.96
Total after 15% gift card discount: $68.82

          Coles App Total: $103.65

Funnily enough the Coles app total ends up being slightly higher than the Uber subtotal. Probably because some of the items I added had Uber one exclusive discounts (30%)

          • @nategasm: I ordered before purchasing the gift card. If I cancel and reorder will I lose the 25% off discount?

            • +1

@Duece1995: You can change your payment method for the order to Uber cash (gift card) after completing the order and it should refund your original payment method

    • I think it could be possible to at least break even depending on the things you get. Last time I used coles via uber there were items on sale there that weren't on sale at the stores. But then again like tenpercent said, if you're also collecting points it makes it less worth it.

  • +4

honsetly the $25 won't even cover the service fee and the markup

    • +9

Whenever I'm ordering something from Coles via UberEats, I make sure majority of my purchases are from "Deals" menu. Also, I add the same stuff to my cart in Coles app as well to compare the price. Earlier today there was a "Save $15 bucks on order >$70". Ordered heaps of chicken which would have cost me $82.15 had I shopped in-store. With Uber app, I paid $58.89. Used 10% off giftcard for the purchase, hence altogether I paid around 53 bucks, so yeah even $25 off is a good deal if you know how to shop smart.

      • yeah that's true, I remember buying some pies off uber and realised they were half price at coles later on so i stopped using it much since uber charges you full price even if coles has it on half price

    • +2

I cheat code is ordering items that aren't in stock, so you get a refund.

      • How do you know which items aren't in stock?

  • +1

I've got $15 off $70 right now, it looks like all these are targeted.

    • They had 40% of hot pork roast too. Decent deal.

  • Maybe it's the groceries I buy, but $100 in groceries for me would be pretty heavy. Must be a pain for the drivers to not only carry but also if they're on a scooter or bike.

  • They need to add weekly special prices. Everything jacked and very weak specials

  • +1

so instead of ubers usual 40% markup we’re only paying 15% markup? On top of the $96 per year uberOne fee?

    Yeah nah

  • +1

The only grocery deals worth is spend $40, get $20 back and free delivery for orders above $40 if you are uber one member. And always pick up items that are on special on uber and this is a great deal.

    • I have 20 off 40 too… I assume can't stack?

      • +1

Can't stack both offers. Use the $20 off $40 first. However you can stack the $20 off $40 / $25 off $100 with the discounted items and the multibuy promos on particular items like 2 for $10.

I used mine yesterday, I had a number of items that rarely go on special, for 40% off on uber eats, so was a great combo with the $20 off $40+.

Remember to pay with 15% off gift card.

  • This is live already.

  • Not a deal

  • -3

Until today, there were LOADS of items 40% off (incl. meat, poultry, eggs etc.), which stacked with the $20 off for $40 spend, and now they're all full price. This deal categorically sucks and an order is more expensive today than it was yesterday.

    • +5

I think it's the coles in your area. I'm having a look at my one and I see a bunch of items saying 25-30% off and lots for 2 for (insert price here). I think your coles didn't want to be part of it.

  • Terrible deal… Would have been great if maybe 25 off 50 spend instead… I can't think of what to make my order come to $100 to take advantage of this…
Since it's also the delivery driver that packs the order there's a chance I'm not even gonna get a complete order :/
