Samsung Galaxy S26 Series from $1,084.30 via Samsung EPP / Education Store, up to 30% off RRP, S26 Ultra 512GB $1,578.75 delivered after extra codes

Samsung EPP / Education Store currently has the Galaxy S26 range at up to 30% off RRP.

This appears to be EPP / Education Store only.

Prices shown on EPP from my screenshots before extra codes:

  • Galaxy S26 256GB / 12GB - $1,084.30
  • Galaxy S26 512GB / 12GB - $1,294.30
  • Galaxy S26+ 256GB / 12GB - $1,294.30
  • Galaxy S26+ 512GB / 12GB - $1,504.30

Galaxy S26 Ultra

  • Galaxy S26 Ultra 256GB / 12GB - $1,539.30
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra 512GB / 12GB - $1,749.30
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra 1TB / 16GB - $2,064.30

For my order, the Galaxy S26 Ultra 512GB ended up at $1,578.75 delivered.

What worked for me:

  • standard EPP price
  • 5% first purchase code
  • another 5% code from Samsung chat as a loyalty bonus

So the 512GB Ultra went from $1,749.30 down to $1,578.75 delivered.

Checkout showed:

  • Total savings: $920.25
  • Included GST: $143.52
  • Delivery: Free

Based on that checkout, the final price works out to about 36.8% off the $2,499 RRP.

Only extra discounts that worked for me were the two 5% codes above. The chat code may still be worth trying even if it is not your first Samsung EPP purchase.

Not sure if everyone can stack the same discounts, but worth a crack. Keen to know if anyone gets a better result with chat codes, trade-in, or other vouchers.

Good but not a insane deal, ig waiting for fold release shall do. Prices dropped to a good point last year.

  • +11

Anyone looking for a better offer on the s26 series are a few weeks too late.

This price would be standard for rest of the year.

    • These prices are okay, but I have noticed this is the 2nd 'sale' Samsung's has had after the launch with 30% off. They must'nt be doing well as they though with sales.

You can get a Xiaomi 17 Ultra 512GB for $1799. Has anyone had experience with the X17U?

      • +1

Samsung is doing incredibly well with sales, they ramped up production.

  • +2

Much cheaper last month with accessories

    • Can you share a link the the deal you are talking about?
Did I miss a deal for the S26U?

      • +2

        You sure did, pre-launch offers

        • +2

Yeah, S26U 512 for less than $1500 with buds pro and case via the bank workarounds and stacks. I just hope it works the same next year!

      • The only rational time to buy a Samsung is prelaunch. Otherwise you are guaranteed to get ripped off.

        • Nah, best to buy clearance on the older stock. The cutting edge premium is insane for such tiny incremental changes. Plus with pre-launch you're a sitting duck for unseen issues like exploding phones. Like pre-ordering video games.

          • @Parentheses: In most stores, the A36 and A56 are curently on "clearance" for more than the new A37 & A57!

  • +3

I upgraded from S25U to S26U but then returned it after 2 weeks. The display on S26U is inferior to S25U. When we turn on the privacy screen on S26U, specially on maximum privacy mode, the resolution becomes so pixelated and blur that even reading text feels difficult. The display even without privacy feature turned on looks dull than S25U. Not sure what Samsung did to the display to include the privacy feature, but it surely looks worse than S25U.
Those looking to purchase S26U, I would suggest go in a store and test it before buying. And apart from this feature, S26U doesn’t have any material upgrade over S25U. So probably S25U is a better buy if you can get a good deal for it.

    • +4

The way the privacy mode works is essentially just turning off pixels so it will be losing quality and brightness. Privacy mode should only be used when actually needed and not as a standard feature.

      • +2

I agree. But even without privacy mode ON, the display looks a bit dull compared to S25U. I am currently using S25U with a privacy screen protector and the experience is much better than privacy mode on S26U i.e. display resolution remains intact.
Not saying S26U is a bad phone, but you will definitely be disappointed with the display both with and without privacy mode on.

        • Doesn't Samsung have multiple like colour modes? Is it possible your 25 was on like dynamic or bright vs natural on the 26?

I can't imagine it'd be a downgrade..? It's a higher bit panel too funnily enough though you'd be unlikely to notice that part.

          • @ReaperX22: I am familiar with all these settings, and used the same on both S25U and S26U but S25U display clearly feels better. May be because of the way they adjusted the poxel for privacy display made the difference. Test it at a store side by side for both phones and you will be able to see the difference. Again S26U display or phone overall isn't bad, its just that compared to S25U the display seems to be a downgrade. Privacy feature can easily be achieved by applying a privacy screen protector on S25U without compromising the resolution.

        • I like the privacy screen. Didn't notice any differences about screen myself but the S26 felt lighter even though the difference is so small it was noticeable when I had them both at the same time.

          • @Pufff: s26U got the new Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock too

            • +1

@uccoffee: TBH I don't use that sort of stuff. I'm going to stop myself from updating for next 5 years.

    • Marques Brownlee mentioned this in one of his tech reviews prior to the release of the phone, thats the only other time I've seen someone mention this issue with the S26

      • +2

I've had both. I stuck with the S26 Ultra. Privacy mode off, outside, I don't notice it. Indoors, if you have the screen less than 30cm away from your face, off angle, it is noticeable when reading text.

The trade off for the privacy mode is worth it for me. I've got it set to be on max when I open banking apps and notifications. Good for piece of mind.

    • +1

The privacy display works by having half of the pixels be special narrow range privacy pixels. Turning on privacy mode switches off all the non privacy pixels.
This necessarily means that half of the pixels of the display are narrow range, and hence duller looking.

Most reviewers mentioned this issue when it released and recommended to try in person first.

Ignore this user, my s26u is perfect and much better than my Iphone 15PM

      • -1

        Good for you mate 👍

      • This ia the difference between S26U and S26U display that I am referring to. Not a deal breaker for some, but definitely a difference for those who are already using or have used S25U.

        https://youtube.com/shorts/wI349F_PMj0?si=LnlCd4tN7WTzV69V

        • What do you mean 'not a dealbreaker for some', bro used like a microscope lol To whom would this super minor issue be a deal breaker?
This is a non-issue, greatly exaggerated by some view-seeking youtubers and haters.

          • @nikoris: Well at least I was able to feel the difference between S25U and S26U display resolution. And I definitely am not a view-seeking YouTuber. Anyways, good to know that you are liking your S26U display.

      • -2

Happy for you, enjoy your phone. But please do not assume others have same weak eyes as you. Many people are sensitive: they can see better, they can tell difference in pixels inside VR, not by choice but its how they are. Good day.

        • Mate i have a work phone pixel 7 pro, my s26u replaced an iPhone 15 pm, and my pc is a 9800x3d/9070xt setup, i have a plex server with nothing but 4k goodies for my 77' G4. My eyes, i assure you, are better than your and I am WAY more sensitive to movement/pixels.
          S26u is fine

    • Yip, can get a privacy screen protector from Temu for $6, or for free dont look at dodgy stuff on your phone.

    • I'd agree - where i work we have a demo units from Telstra and I tried the S26U for a day and didn't think it seems equal let along better.

    • … and s25 was recessioneered from the s24.
S24 IMHO is peak samsung when we in Oz were treated as adults with Snapdragon vs exynos. Sad.

  • +1

Are people still buying Samsung phones for retail?

    • +1

These are not retail prices. Up to 30% discounted prices on Edu/EPP stores.

      • +6

These are supposed to be the retail prices, but they jacked it up 30% and then declares 30% discount.

      • OZB since 2018 and yet you are still getting fooled

Last time they were offering free Washing Machine, TV, headset, fridge when you pre-order any of their phones.

        • @Fredfloresjr No, I don't get fooled. I buy Samsung phones ONLY during pre-order deals every year and that too from Education store only.
For example, paid $1,289 for S26U+Buds 4 Pro last month. Used for 2 weeks and then sold both on Marketplace for $1,500. The buyer got a deal too as he was upgrading from his S22U.

Can you share your "Last time…" deal link where they were offering free Washing Machine, TV, headset, fridge when you pre-order any of their phones. Damnhow did I miss that Lollzzzz

    • +4

A lot of people still pay retail via thier Telstra plan and think they are getting a "free" phone every two or three years.

      • +1

        You can't save those people.

    • +6

I refuse to pay anything other than full price or higher.

    • Yep my in laws and people who don't like to shop online haha

  • Anyone had a spare birthday voucher ?

  • 1,389.22 for the s26 ultra 256gb using 5% off first purchase and 5% chat discount

  • I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade from the s23+ to the S26ultra. Or if I should pass on it and wait to upgrade next year. Anyone else made a similar upgrade recently and felt like it was a huge improvement?

  • Thanks, needed a phone asap and missed the release sales. Nabbed a s26+ for $1168 following what you posted so big thanks!

    • +2

decided to post as daughter's phone broke. If only i have crystal ball as the preorder prices were cheaper. Hence I still posted this as its close enough from the preorder price. retail is silly pricing though

      • I had a 7ish year old LG, was putting off buying a new phone for ages. Mainly my banking app, but a bunch of others as well stopped working, of course after the release sales so forced to upgrade. Helpful post for those not following tech cycles.
