  • If you already have a sprayer coopex works out cheaper. Can get it from bunnings for around $12

    • I think there are a few different coopex? Which is the strongest against spiders?

      • https://www.au.envu.com/pest-management/products/coopex-resi… This is what bunnings sells. From personal experience works really well against spiders, but with reapplication every 3ish months or depending on the weather if it rains frequently. Just focus on spraying around entry points like doors and windows and places you see lots of spiders like sheds, clotheslines. Also helps to spray the corners of walls as spiders like to hang out there. Once I've sprayed all the entry points, garage, shed I generally don't notice spiders in the home.

        • Thanks!

        • Pemethrin is quite different to Deltamethrin especially with persistence. Depends on use case of course.

    • Not seeing coopex on bunnings website. also most don't want to mix or even own a sprayer.

    • Anything has to be better than this mortein. Even at $20, I feel placebo/nocebo works better and longer.

I go absolutely ham with it, filling cracks & holes with a jet of gel. Everywhere the rain can and can't wash away. Plus ALL over the ant's paths, full length, 5x width, criss-cross… The LOT.

I reckon it's lasted a couple of weeks each time.

      • I concur! This is a trash chemical

Normally order from Bunnings but can’t find it listed on their site now.

    • You got a link? I found nothing at around that price.

  • Do you have the item number from Bunnings? Can’t find it through my searches

    • Its 0854245 @$13.20 a packet. Not on the website but should have plenty of stock instore :P

    • I always get a chuckle from your comments, but I seem to be in the minority (haters gonna hate, I guess). By the way, I like the slouch hat and the location as Monte Carlo.

  • Is there any concentration can make litres of chemical?

    • I've found if you water it down to 40% it gives those pesky spiders a mean hangover the next day

      • I see

    • Unsure if they’re available to buy at Bunnings. But websites like Pestrol etc general public can get our quality chemicals

    • Head down to your local produce store and grab a 1L Zeus Termicide and Insecticide.
      1L will last years.

      • Underrated comment right here. This is what I use, in a big 9L sprayer. Apply it every 3-6 months seems to keep the roaches at bay. 50mL makes 10L suitable for cockies, spiders and ants.

  • Lasts about 1 month in reality

    • True that, especially with the rainy period, and high humidity periods.
Pest walk right over sprayed areas.

    • Second this from experience

  • The homebrand versions of this are literally the same % of identical chemical for less still normal price.

  • SAVE YOUR MONEY.

GET CONCENTRATED BUG LIQUID IN BULK

Had some success with concerated pyruthruem. But its odur is *************************** Prepare your PPE
Stops ants that most DIY sprays fail to stop. But as the label states, keep applying because ants are ****** ****

    • link?

    • This spray spray is 100% deadly for spiders & ants but it takes a few minutes with the roaches where they frantically run far, far away after being sprayed. I do see a few dead roaches around so it does hold up for a few months indoors. However, it seems to be completely useless against ants for prevention as they just crawl straight over it unaffected. Use ant baits, they are really effective.

      • I think it has to be ingested for the bug to be affected, or sprayed directly, so you'd probably have to wait until they cleaned themselves after they had walked over the stuff that has been sprayed on the ground, at least that's what I recall from research on this topic a few years ago.

    • It is also quite deadly for cats. Be careful

  • Do they work if you trying to present white ants enter the house by spraying the house surroundings?

    • Maybe if there’s an active trail at time of spraying.. but this will not prevent an attack. Chemical treated zone is generally best protection. If you have an attack on your house. Please never treat active termites and call qualified technicians as it can make the job harder for us

      • Is there anything I can spray on/under a deck to protect the deck itself against termites?

        • Fipronil. How low’s the deck? Decking boards is usually merbau which is termite resistant

          • @Lolitsjoel: Thanks. About 50cm above ground level, and treated pine boards. Have not seen any termites. Asking only for prevention.

            • @bio: While they can actually make trails from ground up to decking like that, treating around the posts

              • @Lolitsjoel: Cheers. Would you then recommend spraying the ground and posts through the gaps between decking boards?

    • You want a Fipronil based spray like Termidore, usually applied as a soil drenched barrier @ 6ml/L.

      • Didn’t want to give away too much info for him ;P

  • This or Jack daniels for tonight?

    • round-up

  • If you have roach problems, I'd recommend advion cockroach gel bait. You can also use the Yates version from bunnings, i believe the same company makes it

  • There’s a YouTube video of a man prank calling poisons hotline and sniffing mortein

    • …and?

    • I wanna see

      • Crazy N***** calls the poisons information helpline

  • If you're planning on spraying regularly, a 5-10L garden sprayer plus this works out far cheaper: https://www.bunnings.com.au/hovex-1l-ultra-lo-odour-termite-…
Not the same active ingredient as OP but is very effective against crawling insects

  • I've got spiders that keep forming webs between my hedge and car, and from the hedge to the bins. Does anyone have advice on where to spray to prevent them from coming back?

    • For bins I like to spray under the lip, but avoid getting it on the handle if you don't want residue when putting the bins out. For the car give it a quick spritz in the mirror if you can (past the glass but not too much) as spiders love to hide there. For the hedge try spraying around the base if it has sleepers or just into the hedge if not.

      • Thanks mate, will give it a go!

  • Doesn't work.

  • Where do you spray this… Indoor walls? Outdoor house stumps - but there are so many of them and some aren't accessible…

    • F

    • For indoor, spray it on the floor along the edges of the room where the baseboard is

  • Sprayer is rough and chemical too goopy. Cant get a nice running line on any edges, comes out mess.

  • Any recommendation for something that does Termite protection as well (sprayed)

  • This product doesn't work well for German cockroaches (the smaller one). They still keep coming out, and walk on the sprayed area.

    • Using yates gel from bunnings..over a week or 2 the next will die out

    • You’re going to want a gel. Germans are a big problem. Honestly probably pay a professional(won’t be cheap as it’s multiple visits). They’ll also tell you what else you need to do other than chemical

  • What do I use for moths eating my wool carpets?

Have sprayed the carpets multiple times with Mortein but the buggers are still flying around.
