Philips Evnia Gaming Monitors: 49" 240Hz QD-OLED $1399 (Back Order), 49" 144Hz QD-OLED Curved $1289 + Delivery @ Scorptec

110

Finally pulling the trigger on my new PC build and just snagged a deal on this OLED monster.

If the 240Hz model is a bit too steep, the 144Hz version (49M2C8900L) is currently sitting at $1,289 at Scorptec (In-stock).

Deal ends 3rd of may and assume the competitors will do the same.

Surcharges: 0% Afterpay & ZipMoney, 1% card & PayPal payments.

I just picked one up myself—definitely worth a look if you're in the market for a super-ultrawide. Same price is also live at JB Hi-Fi, Mwave, PC Case Gear, and CPL while
Centre com is sold out

I imagine this the screen that Beyonce uses

  • At what point, do you just get a small TV? A high end TV would be about the same price and could be even bigger.

    • I play msfs 2024 and read that the ultrawide would be more suited, I'll also be stacking a 50 inch qled above this one in the future

      • You may like to consider getting a cheap 1080p LED projector (<$100) and projecting a big screen onto the wall behind/above it. A very cheap way of achieving the benefits, or at least testing out your use cases.

A basic projector is more like $1000, not $100 - the bargain basement models produce an absolutely garbage image compared to a "real" projector.

    • Yep got a 42" lg OLED for a bit cheaper

    • Are there any TVs that take a 240 Hz signal?

  • Imagine playing FPS game here lol

  • These are probably about to be refreshed with new sub-pixels and coatings, less purple.
If that stuff is important to you, might not be the right buy.

    • That's just the demo image! 😉

Uh yeah I see that, and maybe I need tone tags, but the purple haze under ambient light is a pretty well known qd-oled defect…
