Saw this on ServiceNSW.

NRMA is given young drivers free roadside assistance

Not a bad option for 17 yr old P-platers with a 2nd hand car which could have issues.
I don't see a lot of value for new cars, don't see anything wrong happening apart from jump starts

Read the fine print or give NRMA a call

  Cynically it is a way to get a new generation of drivers to never feel like they need to learn how to change their own tyre if they get a flat.

  Non-cynically it's helpful as a number of newer cars (or smaller cars) don't come with spare tyres anyway

  Why does a 16 year old driver need roadside assistance? They are driving with an instructor at that age. The instructor should have it.
