Think the sale price is lower this time because of the AUD/USD exchange rate.

I went with a PS120 first edition personally but it is not on sale.

DIY Market is dying since the expensive RAM and shxt GPUs.

I bought the Thermalwrong brand and the temp just gone tru the roof.

      • Did you forget to peel off the plastic film at the bottom of the heatsink?:)

          Its a pun :)

I bought one of these recently because the my stock fan failed, it's absolutely insane how quiet this is compared to the original AMD wraith HSF

Same. I find it can get super loud when under heavy load though!

Are thermals significantly impacted when you lower your fan curve?

I have this fan and its great (as my Wraith prism fan died), however something to note - the GIGABYTE AORUS boards have this mounting on the IO shield part of the board (left hand side of the CPU, not the backplate side) which means the left hand side fan of the cooler sticks up 2mm higher than the right side. Didn't bother me so much, but thought I'd mention it if anyone has this combination.

    • Fwiw, quite a few boards can run into problems where one of the cooler fans need to be elevated to get out of the way of something (especially with some of the mega chunky heatsinks in use on some boards) - probably not just that Gigabyte board or its series.

Thanks, have an ali 7800x3d on its way, should help keep it cool (if I can ever afford ram for it)

  • I am using the same exact model to cool my R9 9900X3D. It works like a dream as the processor never heats up over 73C under prolonged load. Even then the fan noise is completely bearable.

  • This is kinda embarrassing but I need help with someone to install this into my pc with a bunch of other hard drives and SSD's.

I'm super noob at this so if anyone knows anybody who can save me message me I'm in the blue mountains nsw.

Been putting it off for over a year now but figured I should really get all my stuff that's been just sitting in my drawer installed this year sometime eventually.

Yeah I know peak desperation especially with my 95C cpu temps even at idle.. Eesh
