  • $1249 for 65 inch via Samsung ($50 trade in and $50 delivery fee). Then add 5% and 10% discounts and you get extra 10 inches of premium service direct from Samsung government store.

    • How do you get the 10% discount? Only managed to get a 5% off discount through chat. Thanks

      • Oh yes government store. Thats 5% for code and 5% first purchase

    RTINGS Review: https://youtu.be/nBTXrV_V7DE?si=YSufP7jZA8avll7A

Contrast is very low and it uses an Edge-Lit panel. The 65” version they tested had 24 Dimming Zones (also very low).

Same price as 4 years ago. I guess that means tech is falling at the same rate that inflation is rising??

Have a 65" version of this, after 2 years and 2 months the panel had a major fault and needed to be replaced. Fortunately JB HiFi (who I purchased from) handled all this under their "voluntary warranty period" (read ACL) without issue. Samsung tech came out and stated its a known issue with the panel and replaced it in-house.

I have another Samsung product (fridge) which has had a part snap in the freezer, and dealing with Samsung direct for this has been more of a challenge. Ended up just gluing it back together and moving on - but needed to go down the ACL road to get them to consider anything (Fridge was same age as TV - so just over 2 years).

YMMV with Samsung. The Frame TV itself is great with the "art" setting, which is the main reason we bought it - open plan apartment, styled, didn't want the "black square" on the wall. If I was buying it for a purpose other than art feature, I'd of looked elsewhere.

  • This or Hisense Canvas?

    • From memory main difference is the separate connection box. Single cable to panel on the wall with this

      • Thanks, might go with Canvas then as I don’t have any place to hide the box.

IMO The Samsung Matte finish on the panel dulls the colour a bit more than the Hisense does, resulting in the Hisense looking slightly closer to Art than the Samsung if your using it for that purpose.

  • I heard the Pro was one to avoid given the wireless box so I got the same model, but for the life of me, I can't get it to stay on the source it's connected to without randomly at times changing to Samsung TV Plus. eg. I'm watching Netflix or a movie on my Apple TV 4K (because I use Airpods for audio at night) and it'll change inputs at least once or twice every 10 minutes which is incredibly frustrating.

I've seen some threads online suggesting disabling CEC but I need it for my eArc soundbar.

    • I heard the same. And Lol they removed wired box but the power cord is thicker than the wire on the old one :D. So the only came it has is worse than the previous model.

Honestly…i regret buying our Samsung Q7F last year. It is the biggest piece of shit - laggy software, shit/annoying interface and software updates that slow the hell out of it. Even turning the volume up/down can take 2 seconds for the tv to respond. It’s weird as hell. My 2019 Samsung is better than this shitheap. I would really avoid anything Samsung now

    • Dont forget the ads! We got the previous gen Frame and ads ads ads ads…. still the TV is fit for its purpose where it is in our house.
