a few hours later: have now gotten the Apple ID to work. Had to chat to support and they did something on the back end which let my account go through.
Now waiting on the turgame code, it's been about 45min since paid but no code received yet, stuck on processing…- 0

Word of warning: I tried doing this a while ago. I have an existing Strava account and have bought paid memberships through this method many times before.
It simply didn't work due to how Strava manage their accounts. After activating and paying, the paid memberships never showed up in either app. Support said that it's got something to do with if there are multiple memberships tied to your email address. The back end doesn't know which account to link the premium subscription to or something.
Thing is, I've never had any other Strava memberships linked to my email address… So after lots of very poor interactions with Strava support, I submitted a ticket to Apple for a refund which was thankfully processed. A brief search will show that this isn't an uncommon problem.
If anyone knows how to fix this, I would be extremely grateful!

As in you had multiple Strava only memberships in the past and when you added a Strava + runna membership through this method it wouldn't show up on either apps?

@penguinswillrise: No, I’ve used the Türkiye method many time to purchase other paid memberships via the App Store. Sorry, that part wasn’t clear.
So that’s why it was weird. I know it works but the back end of Strava/Runna can stuff it up and support can’t fix it.

Thanks OP. I don't know why I need Strava subscription (with Garmin and Runna), but for $25/year (and a free month trial), why not!
Edit: @Kazusa - have you tried this? When I log out of my Turkish IOS account and go back to my AU IOS account then go back to Stava, my subscription is not there. Maybe a problem with having "sign in with apple", rather than signing in with personal email address on Strava?

Trial didn’t work for me, had to choose the 12 month option without trial and restore purchase and it instantly activated

I’ve tried using a new turkey based account (different email than my Strava email) and can confirm the moment you switch back to the AUS apple account you lose the premium, despite using restore purchases.
So not sure this deal is safe to use?

They crack down on addresses and linkages to debit cards now.

I don’t know if it’s changed (regarding the account setup), but pretty sure there are guides on ozbargain if you search.
Regarding funding the account - you don’t link it to a debit card. You buy itunes vouchers (from places like turgame.com), and the apply the voucher to your turkish itunes accout.

I guess we'll find out lol. The Turkish price seems to show if i just change it.

Still works! I logged into my Turkish Apple ID on my iPad, bought an Apple Gift Card from Turgame using my Wise card, then turned on a VPN connected to a Turkish server.
After downloading Strava through my Turkish Apple ID, it showed the Turkish pricing. I subscribed there, and instantly my iPhone reflected that I had an active Strava + Runna subscription!

Hey I'm trying to do this but the app is only letting me subscribe the Strava alone. Was Strava + Runna available from the beginning in your app or did you have to subscribe to Strava first then add runna?

I think I may have started the Strava premium trial for 1 month then found out about the 2 weeks trial of Runna (first time sign up for Runna)
Then it showed up in my Strava settings that I could get 60% off if I sub to both

@penguinswillrise: Update: I signed up for strava premium first for 799TRY then went to manage the subscription in app store which showed the Strava + Runna plan for 1599TRY. I changed to that plan and it worked. Note that you would need 799 + 1599 TRY to do this because you would be charged for strava+runna first before the strava only plan is refunded. Fine with me as I needed credit to continue funding youtube premium.

Keep struggling to create one where it gets me to the end of the process but when I need to enter the verification code it just never accepts it
