    How many g of protein?

      • +14

And 3470mg of sodium. Exceeding your daily rec. intake by more than 1000mg in just one meal.

        Health is wealth.

        • damn :(

I'm on blood pressure tablets. How do everyday people enjoy high sodium food like these without getting high blood pressure?

          • +11

            @Homr: Exercise

          • +11

@Homr: Healthy people don't eat this, at least not regularly (very seldom, max few times per year).

Healthy people enjoy fruits, veg, lean meats, whole grains and nuts/pulses, milk and water. They exercise every day doing fun and goal-oriented activities in largely a variety of outdoor environs (minimising UV exposure).

Healthy people have lean, strong bodies. They see their GP to keep up with preventative heathcare strategies, rather than interventions.

            • +1

@muwu: Your first statement isn't necessarily correct. This food is not that bad at reasonable portion sizes, the problem is people think THIS Box is 1 portion size. That's why the bloke above says he doesn't understand why people other than him eat it and don't have high blood pressure. I'll bet he stuffs himself.

No exercise, they'll drink it with sugared drink, and on, and on.

It's easy to enjoy 'junk' food and stay healthy if doing it smart.

            • +5

@muwu: And once you begin a healthy lifestyle, you no longer want this. It becomes very easy to dismiss.

          • +3

            @Homr: Run.

          • -1

            @Homr:

            I'm on blood pressure tablets.

You just answered your own question. There are medications ready to tackle (almost) any of today's afflictions. Take 'em and do all life's indulgence and stop worrying.

        • +2

          Drink more water

        • -1

Sodium is supplement for endurance workouts and heat resistance training, component of salt tablets.
So called junk food is often a great budget value high energy nutrition, including glucose and protein, unfit people don't really need that calorie boost anyway for their daily desk jobs

Is this ChatGPT? KFC site clearly states 4858kj (1161 kcal) and 71.5g of protein

        • -4

          Nah it’s Claude.

      • +21

Why the heck are you using AI when KFC already clearly lists the actual nutritional information on the website?

      • Lol you sound like Judgey version of ChatGPT

      • So, at the end of the day… How much protein? 🤔

      • +1

nice lazy attempt. someone else I need to hide the comments of

Thanks. I always look at $/g of protein now because of how bad the shrinkflation and enshitification has become. It's the protein they cut down on first.

        • +7

Purely from a cost perspective, canned sardines and cage eggs are probably the cheapest bang for buck animal protein source

      • Don't care, lunch is sorted.

    • Looks like it's better to grab a kilo of chicken breast for $9 atm from woolies and air fry it. Almost 250-300 protein.

      • nah get some live chickens and eat fresh eggs everyday

        • -1

get some live chickens and eat fresh chicken everyday

        • Or breed a hen and eat chicken when the chick grows

    • There would be as much or more fat as protein in that greasy crap. It's not called 'dirty bird' for nothing..

  • +2

    Is this targeted?

    • +1

I got the email…. But no show on my app lol.
      Whammy deal instead

      • +1

I got email too but can't order it if its not in the app

      • +1

I had to switch to a different store for mine to show up in the app/online.

        • +3

I tried four different ones around Perth metro. None had it

    • +1

Yes, targeted to fat unhealthy people.

    • +1

Yes. And the target is your stomach via your piehole, by the Colonel's army with extreme prejudice. Kiss your arse goodbye!

  • +8

The #6 wicked wings deal has gone up to $10 now.

    • +1

Damn. Can no longer get a cheap succulent wing deal.

The posted deal is way better value since it includes the drink and other stuff.

    • +1

      this is sad

  • No email or notification for me but it shows up in the app.

  • +3

I asked for it in store at a cashier, no problems.

    • You can claim the free drink with the survey code, when you pay at a cashier.

  • I dont see this in the app
    sad:(

Unhealthy food …I rather buy sushi for $10 or less.

    • +1

You might want to check out the sugar in the rice!

    • +1

      Sushi isn't healthy lol

    • id eat sushi every day if it was healthy but the carbs are too high if theres rice, and you cant get much fish by itself for just a tenner

    • 2 hand rolls and maybe enough spare change to receive a grunt of appreciation from a homeless

I'll take all this chicken instead thx

  • Was delicious thanks

  • +9

I have been doing keto since early Dec last year. I am down 15kg so far. Perhaps it is time I treat myself.

    • Go bro

    • +2

As I said above, do it but exercise portion control. The volume people are eating is as much (if not more) to blame than the food itself. You think people in the 70s didn't eat this stuff? They did, just less of it, more importantly less volume each sitting - that goes for all foods.

    • gratz
16:8 or 20:4 fasting and eat whatever u want

    • Good for you on doing Keto for so long! I heard hes very good looking. Give him one for me

  • Not in my app. Was looking forward to this after my gym sesh sigh :(

  • Does this come available with small chips for an afternoon snack? I'm on a diet.

  • +5

Offer isn't targeted; it might be store specific but definitely not targeted or app only. Was able to order this via the kiosk at my local KFC.

    • Thanks, added a note to the deal description.

    • Does that mean you can claim feedback drink with it?

    • Didn't have it in app or kiosk for me at a couple of KFCs here in SA

      • Went down to marden KFC this lunch, after showing the staff this promo the lady there was saying this is not for aus. i was like whaaaaat…

  • +4

ngl protien hack. Suprisingly a lot of meat, i was pretty full after having this. for $10 its not bad

  • I have ad in email, but when I click it it transfers me to the app that doesn't have it.

  • +4

And just seen an ad on Facebook the 10 wicked wings for $10 deal is back on tomorrow, may as well be a long running deal at this point 😅

  • +3

    The Colonel can't stop innovating

  • Got a couple tonight, cheers boss!

  • -3

    Isn’t $10 a little pricey?

  • Change the gravy to chips should be possible

  • I used to like the potato gravy but since they changed it doesnt quite hit the spot.
Anyone else care to share their thoughts?

    • I usually swap it out for more chips these days. It isn't the same as it used to be - I agree. Red Roosters is much better.

  • -1

Love this all healthy just little salt, I'm sure u all can handle little sodium once a while.

  • they gave me an extra tub of plain gravy in my box. makes it over 4000mg sodium. 🧂
