Going for an around the world trip in May. Looking to buy travel insurance primarily to cover any unexpected medical expense on the trip.
Zoom travel insurance seems a bit cheaper than the others, is it too good to be true?
Since it is going to be a big long trip, would prefer an insurance that has good service and fast response if anything does happen. Any recommendations?

100% recommend SCTI, they are very responsive. I would pay more to get comprehensive coverage as well as $0 excess for claims in case of cancellations, loss of items etc. Lots could go wrong on a big long trip so you're better off having good insurance and peace of mind.
Shopback currently has 20% cashback on their policies until the 26th of April and it tracks quickly.
I have an annual policy with Chubb. I think they are good and a well known and respectable insurer. An annual policy might be cheaper and it would of course cover any travel for a year but I know there is a limit on the duration of trips so you would need to check if this fitted in with your needs. Mine is a worldwide policy and excludes only Cuba

Worth checking to see if you have cover under a credit card. Also don't chase the cheapest quote but ones with good service and reviews as it makes a world of difference when you are in a pickle overseas. RACV was excellent and paid out quickly, Covermore was also a hassle free experience.
