  • I grabbed the 2 pack from OW a few months ago when my Deco crapped itself suddenly and needed something quick to keep the family happy.
Paid about $100 and am happy with it. Haven't had any issues yet.
The app is pretty basic though

  • Which stores? Oh wait that's the fun part

  • But that's D-Link.

  • Not showing up in any store when changing location. OOS

  • Just picked up 1 from dandenong store.

  • anyone having issues with the bunnings stock check site not loading on desktop? been happening for weeks just get a blank page, works on mobile not on desktop

    • Works fine over here…

      • Can I come over

        • Only if you spoon..

      • "works fine on my end" is such an inflammatory response lol - and that's coming from me with an IT Support background 😤🤣

        • I think it is a useful data point

  • I got these ones about 5 months and ago and happy with range and speeds

  • I just bought one from Bunnings Mt Gravatt for $75. There is a clearance sticker on the box to mark it down 0.13 cheaper LOL. 1 left there.

  • Openwrt is available for this.

    • If only it was actually in stock

    • Have you done that for this model? I've heard the install for this model can be tricky and not use the normal flashing. I'm wondering if that's changed/improved, or it I have my facts wrong.

  • I wonder what role AI plays inside a router?

    • If device too far from current router, switch to next router. Repeat. "AI" powered router.

      • Pure crap, just marketing gimmick

  • $39.99 at Gungahlin Canberra if anyone interested, one left, ask at the service counter.

  • Thanks OP. Stock check helped me pickup, paid with Flybuys points for ultimate level $0 ozbargain.

    • My expectations were low, but these are great, thanks OP.

For others who may be wondering if it's worth travelling to a store with inventory, a quick summary:

Pro's: all nodes can be standalone as router, bridge or repeater (also cheap to extend/replace); d-link mobile app and web ui are clean and easy to use; 1 WAN, 4x LAN ports; swimming manta ray aesthetic, WiFi 6, super cheap.

Con's: may not have all router features for a sophisticated network or ultimate control (e.g. limited to a 2ghz ssid, 5ghz ssid and a guest ssid); I can envisage early failure of the wall plugs; product almost 3 years may soon be no stock if you want more nodes; swimming manta ray aesthetic.

Unless you have D-Link (I've avoided previously) or you don't need sophisticated network controls, strong recommend.

  • I went to (NSW) Rydalmere - none, and Gladesville, where I found it, but the box was already open and someone had stolen two of the three units lol

Bunnings sold me the last one for $25 (power adapter included thankfully).

  • Thanks OP picked up in Adelaide for $75, perfect timing.

  • Sorry All, bought the last one at Blacktown Bunnings. I needed it because my Google nest stopped working🥲
