Because some big brands like to add multiple useless SKUs with minor differences to their product lineup to fill up supermarket shelves and leave less space for competition, pushing them out. Quilton occupies like 50% of tp space in many supermarkets and growing. Toothpaste brands like Oralb do the same. Pretty common shady business practice in the US
