  • Which one is the spiciest?

Delicious sauce, I'd say its akin to a mild to medium nandos peri peri sauce but much tastier.

just curious what do people use these on?

      Poached/Scrambled Eggs
      Prawn Tacos

Habanero is dynamite on almost any egg dish, imo.

But I put hot sauce on nearly everything, and enjoy super-hots and extreme spice.

      • cool, will try it.

I can't speak to the others, but Cholula is delicious - like Tabasco, but better.

    • I've tried both Tabasco stings hotter, Chulola for me is more of a hot wing sauce that takes over the flavor profile doesn't partner with as many things as Tabasco can

As one of the few Mexicans to live in Australia this stuff is a must have

    This sauce is so good!

  • Also saw Tabasco sold at Aldi, saw it on Friday, but unsure of the price. Was labelled as a new product to Aldi.

  • Costco has this too,
    FYI, it's 360ml version. $8.79

  • Never purchased Mexican hot sauce before.

Should I get Cholula Original Hot Sauce or Authentic Chile De Arbol Hot Sauce?

    • Perhaps go with the more popular Cholula Original Hot Sauce as per this review. It's also sold at Coles and Woolworths for $5.50 if you need more in future.

The other brand is not easily available.

      • Actually because Lago de Chapala Hot Sauce isn't readily available elsewhere, maybe I try Lago de Chapala Hot Sauce.

Be interesting if I like it because I'd never be able to buy it again lol

Will ask @TenderDracula and where to purchase Lago de Chapala sauce if no longer stocked at ALDI.

          • @trixieb: I can't find it here and I love the chilli de arbo one but it's just so spicy and vinegar it's hell for a nearly 50 year old man

            • @TenderDracula: Sounds fiery and that's only moderate rating.

Perhaps the Poblano & Habanero could be a better option as it is the mildest for someone new to the range.

  • I love the garlic one but they don't seem to be selling it. I can only get it at woolies.

  • Oh my gosh, the Habenero hot sauce bottle is wearing a serape and sombrero!

  • This was $3.79 each at Knox Aldi.
