International Samsung Watch 8 Variant

The price difference between the Australian retail version of the Watch 8 and the international versions is crazy different. Around $650 from Samsung, JB etc and $325 from Amazon, Kogan, Woolworths market etc.

I know Samsung pay doesn't work with the international versions, and I'm guessing Samsung Australia won't cover warranty for it, but it's there any other trade offs? If the price was more comparable I'd obviously go through Samsung directly or JB but when it's so drastic I can't help but want to grab the international version instead.

Interested to hear if anyone has purchased international versions before and what the experience has been.

Most of the stuff works. Don't use payments from Watch. But rest all good. Using watch 8 purchased from Temu.. Got for around $340 - $140 cashback ~ $200
Also, had a watch 7 for an year brought from Temu..

  • Health features (bp, ecg, etc) may also not work.

  • Just get an 'as new' local variant on marketplace. The prices tank on the secondhand market. People get them as bundle deals or realise they don't actually care about their health and sell them off.
