  • I have this offer in my goodies.
Is there anything worth on microsoft to buy?

If anyone's looking for a Surface upgrade, now is likely the time.

Microsoft are offering a bonus for Surface trade ins through Teladvance: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/store/b/microsoft-trade-in. My Surface Pro 7+ might be worth $250ish on a good day on eBay, or $175ish on other trade in sites. Through the bonus offer, I got $630 and it was in my account in 2 weeks. (if you can salary sacrifice at work, you'll save even more)

I don't know if these would stack but they'd have to take data from two very different systems.
    - You buy the Surface normally (which gets you the NAB cashback).
    - Once you have an order number, you take that and give it to Teladvance (Do not pick "I have already purchased", this halved my value. Say that you plan to purchase.)

Why doesn't it want my Ps3?

      • Since Windows only support up to Ps2

    • What did you upgrade to?

    • I also have a Surface Pro 7 which I'm pretty happy with - other than the battery life. The surface pro 12 combo with keyboard and pen is around $2274. NAB goodies $400 + trade in promo $684 brings the total down to $1190 which is significantly cheaper than anywhere else.
I don't like the unknowns though (hoping it tracks and NAB pays out & teleadvance don't try to find a reason to lessen the value they've given me online). Have you bought a new surface pro?

      • Yep, I got the entry level 12" model with keyboard/mouse. If you've got a way to claim on tax (e.g. partly for work) that can help as well, but I don't think anyone will know if you can claim both for another month or so and it's unlikely someone will come back to update this post.

I can't really see any deals worth getting unless I'm missing something.

This is the lowest I could find to $1200 spend amount:

    $1,383.85 for 13.5 inch, Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 Processor 135H, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD down from $2,129 (lol)

Even with $400 off, down to $983.85, I don't think it's worth it

Why do you try to buy something you don't need in the first place?

I'm in the market for a new laptop, but go off Kinggg

      • to resell and make money obviously

  • Do Microsoft sell gift cards and would the cashback work for that? Could use the gift cards for a 365 individual / business subscription or renewal?

    • Yes - worked with Amex offer before & not sure.

    • Worked before, but havent work for me for a while, say 3+ years, always payment error. However i used amex offer to buy a xbox series x, no problem.

  • Is the 12-inch surface the same one as the one in January or they released a new one? I got Commbank deal in Feb so I checked the price during the time, the combo is 1k4/1k5 at that time (there was back to school deal I guess) then I check the price in March again and it's 1k8, now it's 2k2/2k3 for the 12 inch+keyboard+pen combo xD

    • price gone up? i remembered i got on day 1 at around 1400 , and return it, and in november black friday , it was around 800
      nice machine, just too expensive

A few months of Game Pass should get you over that spend requirement

I've done three transactions recently via NAB Goodies. Two tracked fine, the other didn't. I had to raise a complaint as I couldn't find anywhere to query the missing cashback. They ended up giving me the cashback as 'goodwill' but denied it was their fault and said they may not compensate for missing cashback in future.

    • Have been chasing my cashback for two weeks, their messaging system is hopeless - never get response in 2 days

The 13" surface is $400 more expensive through Microsoft than at office works and JB Hi-Fi

    • does MS price match ?
