The last time I posted this item at this price point was in 2017. A great smelling EDT.
Chemist Warehouse has it for the same price, C&C, if anyone prefers that over Amazon: https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/54870/issey-miyake-f…

Enjoy!

  • Goddam, the smell of my uni days. In 1998.

  • Pretty good

  • first cologne I bout innnnn, I wanna say 2007. It's still very very good. A classic.
(keep in mind it is VERY MUCH a summer fragrance)

      • no, old balls are more of an autumn scent, earthy tones that hark to the falling leaves of deciduous trees in the brisk coolness of early afternoon sun.

  • Why they don't have the Eau de Parfume version anymore?

    • What do you think Pour Homme means?

      • Nothing unless you can read French.

      • Poor homey

      • Pour it on Homer … D'oh!

    • Good pickup. Hope Amazon matches the price.

  • I don't think this is a great price. I got it for $59 back in December. Still cheaper than buying it in Japan though!

  • Bought one in 2012 from CW for $59,99, price hasn't gone up much (less than inflation).

  • I'm not down on the deal, but that fragrance is not it.

  • Gotta be careful, chemist warehouse has it cheap because it's near it's expiry date, loses potency the older it is (not like the good ol' days of using the whale bile ducts to make a cologne last all day)

    • Heard about it before, but is this true or only urban myth ?

      • Used to be true when fragrances contained real oils. Like any oil would oxidize and go racid. I think most fragrances now use sythetic ingredients which dont go off.

    • Same applies to other stores like Amazon and others…unless they specify date

    • There’s no evidence of this thankfully!

    • This has most definitely been my experience too, I was told by some people on here that some of the cheaper fragrances stores get old stock or stock that didnt sell, i hope thats the case and not fakes, or its possible that my other purchase of the same fragrance was years earlier and maybe the brand itself changed the formula and reduced the longevity of the product

  • Just bought the intense not sure I like it only after it drys down they don't smell similar also

  • Running my batch code via https://www.checkfresh.com/

    Batch code 4323N9
Information obtained from the batch code
    Production date 2024-11-18
    Age 1 year 5 months 12 days
Notes The batch codes are repeated every 10 years.

As I understand, for stuff like this they generally have a shelf life of about 5 years from production and unopened, so all good from this standpoint.

I'd be wary of Chemist Warehouse stock though as the ones I've been to, they like to keep their fragrances in the windows where there is direct sunlight.

  • People rate this? One of the worse scents I ever smelt.

  • Might have to try it in chemist before ordering

  • In general with colognes etc, Does it matter if you unbox it and use it once but then dont use it for a year or 2 as opposed to leaving it boxed. As in what i am wondering is if i like a range of scents to use at different times, can i unbox and spray very occasionally 3 or 4 different scents and will they last that way as long as leaving them unboxed. Or once you spray once, have you started the denaturing / deterioration process ever so slightly more than leaving it unused ?
